Goal or no goal this league is genuinely laughable for officiating. Sometimes I honestly can't believe what I'm seeing.

I think the worst decisions were in the Forest box - the foul on Clark and the disallowed goal.

The first pen was soft but silly from Shelvey and again, the second one was too but most refs give that even if there's not much the defender can do.

Footballer in making the most of nothing shocker!!

We all have those sorts of players.

2nd red was harsh and justice served in a way.

Not even talking about the player. This ref man, you'll struggle to see a worse performance in your life. Shocking.

Second off for the second? Give me strength. New rules state that it shouldn't be a red so the referee must have not read the hand book. Disallowed goal, missed penalty as well equally poor decision.

Ruined what would have been a good evening.

The fact their striker just came from off the pitch not having a baring I see. It's genuinely been a joke from start to, I imagine, finish

Isn't the ruling that it's still a red if there wasn't a genuine attempt to take the ball? If so, then surely once it's a pen, it's still a red?

You telling me he's tried to bring Lansbury down for the second? Give over. Lansbury has played it well falling over before contact is even made but he's trying to run around he player - he's not trying to bring the player down.

Soft pen but I'm not surprised he sent him off once he'd given it.

Although Newcastle are easily the best team in the league you always get the impression that they are only a step away from the wheels coming off the train.

Haha what? Normally I'd agree. But tonight has been one of the most disciplined defensive displays I've ever seen from us. You go back 18 months and we're losing this 4/5-1. Not to be that guy but the only thing that the wheels are falling off is this reg's career.

Hate to say it but that's your Newcastle hating glasses you're looking through, nothing more.

mate I couldn't give a fuck if you win lose or draw. I've not watched one minute of the game and I don't hate Newcastle. For how good you are this season I always get the impression that it could seriously go wrong. It's not a dig it's just the way I look at it.

Prior to Blackburn we won 9 games In a row.

Also, if you didn't care why do you bother to look/post on a match thread of said team?

Who was the referee? Might've been the same c*** we had at Reading last week after watching the highlights.

Edit: just read you mentioned his last match.

For the second red, the rules as I see them are that you can't get a red and a penalty in the same offence UNLESS the foul is deliberate OR there is no attempt made for the ball. In this instance, at no point does the defender try and make a challenge to get the ball. Therefore, if the ref gives the penalty (which you can debate all night), he has to give the red card.

That was my interpretation. Doesn't necessarily mean it should have been a penalty like you say.

In general though, Newcastle were unfortunate. I think they'd have won with even 10 men.

Shelvey out against Blues, us and Burton now. Justice considering he managed to blag his way into delaying that racism hearing which has been seeing him continue to play.

Lansbury is such a c@nt. Starts falling over waaay before the defender gets there for the second penalty, the only contact comes when he's most of the way down.

For the Shelvey incident, the thing that causes Shelvey to go down is Lansbury absolutely booting his legs out from underneath him (without being near the ball at all). Shelvey does kick out but it doesn't actually touch Lansbury, yet Lansbury starts writhing all over the floor.

Even if it was a red card, which I think it probably was, it was an incident off the ball, not a foul, so it should have been a drop ball from where play stopped, not a pen.

Don't even get me started on the rest of his decisions either. Terrible ref, but Lansbury is a massive c@nt.

"Blag his way out" - ever though he might be innocent ? Check the footage when it was supposed to have happened. NO REACTION from the player it was alleged to have been directed at, or the so-called "witnesses" - don't you think there would have been, for God's sake ?

Well, you were slagging me off in defence of the prat - nothing like stabbing a fellow fan in the back in defence of a rival fan especially those turds
