No announcement until next week ‘at the earliest’ with regards restrictions. Boxing Day games go ahead then and hopefully those on the 28th do to with full capacity allowed.

The data’s looking increasingly promising, think we might get away without any further legal restrictions at all if that holds.

Not a surprising decision given some players tested positive earlier in the week.
Just hope they all recover fine.
Positive is we get to play it later with a full house.
Altrincham still on at the moment but could likely change. And also may cast doubts over the County away game too.....

Numerous unvaccinated players amongst the squad. FFS, what are they playing at!?
I'd hope we are taking the Klopp approach in not signing up any unvaccinated players from now on.

Or to withhold wages for any time they’ve contracted Covid, or in this case have to isolate for being a close contact.

Hahaha yeah it’s pathetic not wanting to go about your day to day life without restrictions. The only pathetic melt here is you.

Feel free to operate with your own restrictions if you’re so concerned.

Cant vaccinate the whole world if a lot of countries are refusing the vaccine. You admit you have no idea how to get more people vaccinated.

“get better ventilation” probably not practical.

who is paying for this sick pay? How would small employees realistically afford this when they’re already struggling because of the pandemic?

That‘s a desperately stupid post, hilariously oblivious to its own ignorance. Those suggestions I made weren’t my ideas but were themselves the opinion of experts in the fields of immunology, virology, and epidemiology (apologies for the big words, let’s hope someone gets you a My First Dictionary for Christmas).

I often wonder how arseholes like Boris Johnson get anywhere near positions of power, and then I read contributions from halfwits like you and it all becomes clear. Personally, I wouldn’t allow the likes of you near a sharp pencil, never mind letting you vote with it as well.

Happy fucking Christmas.

Yeah. We’re a financial mess and have been for a long time, but it’s probably fair to separate that out from our current owners who have taken on all of the past liabilities and quietly funded the club through a pandemic without complaining at any point. We actually made a (balance sheet) profit of £4m in our first season down here, which will have been due to them writing debts to them off. The £2.2m loss is pure Covid - we didn’t sell any season tickets, were behind closed doors all season, didn’t go for any of the government loans and our share of the grant was the most disproportionately small of anyone. In a ‘normal year’ I suspect that’s pretty close to breaking even.

We’re obviously completely beholden to the owners financially, but that’s no different to many, many clubs in this league and football in general. Almost all of the debt pre-dates them, we’re just lucky that they were willing to transfer it over to be owed to them.
Anything owed back to Trew all done now? Did Hardy square that away or did part of it carry over?

The amount of money this country wastes is staggering. Two things we could have/should do to pump some money into the NHS are that we shouldn't have decided to spend £100bn on HS2 and we should legalise and monetise weed.

What are you on about mate, they clapped them for weeks?
Not just money, everything! But the wasting of money irritates me more, especially when is comes to the NHS and I think that's because of my job and how I am with money full stop.

This is a really minor thing in the grand scheme of the NHS but there was a report done years ago about monetary waste and inefficiencies in the NHS and one of the early points was that hospitals up and down the country pay completely different prices for the same office stationary despite buying from the same company. As I say, that's a really minor thing but if we can't get it right at that basic level, you'd not have much hope when it comes to the higher value stuff!

Hardy bought Notts and squared up with Trew. He tried to buy the club earlier but Trew wouldn't sell to him because he didn't think Hardy could afford to run the club. In all fairness Trew was right, Hardy had mortgaged his companies and wealth generators to buy Notts and within 18 months his Notts spending had bankrupted him.

Hahaha spoken like someone who probably has a safe office job and few friends hence doesn’t mind a lockdown.

I’m glad you rate your intelligence so highly. Shame that no one else does. Thinks virology is a BIG word.

What an utter utter melt you are. Genuinely feel sorry for you.

To be fair, the inefficient buying processes within the NHS have been massively reduced since they created NHS Supply Chain in 2018. Meaning the Trusts have access to the NHS wide pricing agreements for most common items.

There’s still a fair bit of wasted money though, but you get that in most large organisations I imagine.

A lot comes from being stuck to pay bands which results in often not being able to recruit the right staff. Or staff leaving to get more money for a similar role in the private sector.

You can tell Nottingham is a student town- it's full of "educated" idiots like this guy, too thick to realise how their political beliefs have been drip fed into their tiny brains throughout the 20 years they spent watching the real world go by from their classroom safe spaces. And what a surprise, a Lefty wanker would deny other people their votes because they're too intelligent to vote for a party that has left Britain bankrupt every time it's held office- what's that saying about always doing what you always did and expecting something different from what you always got is the definition of stupidity, or something like that.

Fuck Christmas and fuck you too. :ds:

You've summed up voting Tory impressively succinctly there, old bean.

'Maybe this time they won't decimate all of the social support services we have to run to help the most vulnerable in society?'

'Oh no, they've gone and done it again. Maybe this time?

Repeat ad infinitum.

There you go, a reasoned response expressed in a reasonable way. Keep it up.

You'll find I tend to respond with insults only to those who've used them, themselves.

Likewise, feel free to go about your own business with your own personal guidelines but as I said further up the thread, don't complain when you can't get in places due to not having a COVID pass.

Specifically which countries are you referring to that are refusing the vaccine? Do you mean the small handful that are doing things like making official announcements about how ginger smoothies will stop the spread of the pandemic or the ones that are flat out refusing that COVID is real? Are you also suggesting that a worldwide vaccine isn't the ultimate goal?

Better ventilation is entirely achievable too, a lot of schools and offices in this country that were built even as recently as 15 or so years ago don't have adequate vents in the ductwork, which is essentially what we're talking about here and it's not a particularly difficult or costly job.
