Got to be record that by a fucking mile
Wouldn't surprise me if a club reached the final without ever being domestic champs ever, its just a cash cow, whilst it can be entertaining I'm still a fan of the old system, if you're a member of Uefa then your champions should be in not some club who finished fourth or a team who has won UEFAs second cup. But then again I'm a grumpy old twat.

I agree but all about the big clubs and money involved, be getting into it finishing 5th soon.

You’re right, and tournaments in Dubai etc, I and suspect a fair few more learned the names of plenty of European teams from the European competitions of yester year, then played em on Fifa or sensible soccer. Now it is the same few on rotate.

If only our wives and girlfriends thought the Same!
Lie, tell them there's engineering works and you have to change at Nottingham which adds an hour, be creative not whipped.

I just tell our lass I'll see her Monday, though I pay for it in the close season....

We're all leaving Leeds at 10am with a KO 5hrs later than yours...a sad reflection on my lot and our drinking habits.
Where are you planning on drinking, we have some good ale pubs, are you in the away end, because Derby have, put up more tickets in the home end yesterday as they realised they had gone to Leeds fans, so do not be surprised if you have tickets for the home end if you do not get in. And there is no money back, think it's going to be a cracking game, we are feeling very confident, but if you hit top gear I think you will pip us, but I am hoping that you are tired after a tough season. And you are feeling sorry for your selves after missing out on autos.

Explain why 34,000 tickets arent sold out to 50,000 people then?

It is a bit weird. Villa sold out immediately on almost the same terms (obviously ST holders didn't have to buy their tickets)

I can understand the family area still having plenty left based on the fact that not many kids need a membership, but members need a kid with a membership to get a ticket themselves. That said, there are other areas with plenty left, so it doesn't explain everything

Apparently 3,000 season ticket holders (out of the 22k) haven't opted to buy their seat!

The remaining 2k are going on sale to members and ST holders to buy up to 3 extra in the morning. Obviously they'll go instantly. I've been to 13 home games but rate my chances at about 5% of getting tickets

I can't see us hitting top gear for 180 mins. But if we can get a good few spells in both games we can create plenty of chances. If luck is on our side we might get 4 or 5 (over both legs). Problem is I see us being vulnerable, tired and equally liable to concede 4 or 5

First half hour tomorrow is going to be mental cavalier stuff I reckon. 20 shots each by half time, 0 on target probably. I can't see the point in either manager going into this with a defensive mindset, but would expect Derby to be set up relatively deep to play the counter attack and exploit Dallas' overlaps on our left. We're then reliant on Pablo realistically to unlock some of that tight space behind the defence because our 25+ yard shooting, our crossing and aerial threat is weak

Derby won't be defensive, but they'll gladly concede 65% possession I reckon. Can't see past BTTS, will be 3-1/3-2 either way. Or 2-2!

We did have to buy our tickets. We had to a certain date to claim our seat.

Standard that. I’ll have a good 3-4 hours drinking before then spend the rest of the afternoon in Brum before heading back in town for the evening.

Matchday. Feeling stoic lads:
If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs...(Kipling 1895)

In addition to me stoicism I'm also feeling shite after too much Black Sheep and a dodgy ruby. A journey to Derby with no windows for me then.

Happy hunting those that are left. See you in Blue Dog 71.
