Mansfield will delighted if they get a point next week at this Steve Cotterill super team.

This has to be said with full tongue in cheek and missing a winking emoji. If not it's a pot calling kettle moment.

Either the worst or 2nd worst offender on here.

Why? Why? Seriously why? Grow a pair Stockport County and your manager are great*.

* For this level.

Would be ace to have a waterlogged pitch against you in league 1 haha
what would be even more fun than that could be the last day of the season - can you imagine the situation - Stockport have a bit of a wobble, so Mansfield and Barrow go into the last game a point above Stockport and Wrexham. A Mansfield win gives them the title, a Barrow win gives us the title, a draw promotes both. A defeat see's Mansfield or Barrow in the play off's if Wrexham v Stockport is drawn.... and a draw in Barrow v Mansfield see's the winner of Wrexham v Stockport crowned champions.

No because we’d fuck it up

Given we’re 10 clear of 8th (harrogate) with a GD 24 better than therrs i’ll grudgingly admit i think we might make the playoffs but not anything else.

I can absolutely guarantee that if we went up, we’d have a better go at staying up than them from up the road.
I can see Barrow doing a Luton.
It's frightening what Barracelona are capable of.

I do think if we did somehow go up though, Wild will be poached and we’d ultimately struggle to replace him.

I think going up is the only way we could get another season from him.......we fail and he’s off.....his stock is too high and he is totally on the radar now.
I’d still be happy and wish him all the best if he went at the end of this season, to be talked about at the upper echelon of the league for most of this year is testimony to him.
He’s deffo going up a league or two next and we will still have an amazing nucleus of a team and spirit left because he is not likely to be taking anyone with him.

Wild will end up as England manager.
No doubt. No doubt at all.

I mean for Barrow (and this isn’t intended as a go or whatever) i genuinely thought a few seasons ago you’d tread water for a few seasons and head back down never to be seen again.

The last season of 2 you’ve had has been totally brilliant and the run you’ve been on this season is remarkable.

I’d say 99.9 % recurring of Barra fans would agree with you, we were not set up nor ready for the step up....we nearly imploded in on ourselves like a dying star.
The adaptation of our board learnt the hard way and have been amazing in turning that around, we are still a spit and sawdust club and up there as a true underdog story.....Wrexham’s is a fairytale story.....both great but ours really only appeals to the locals and it feels special and intimate.

If Phil Brown hadn’t been greedy and touted himself to other clubs, we could well have been mid-table in the National League right now.

Only when Wild is fist pumping the England fans after World Cup glory will Stocky finally get it.

Fair play to Gibraltar though for making it all the way to the World Cup final.

Win away wins for the top 2, but defeats for barrow and wrexham, obviously many more turns before the end of the season.

Crewe now in 3rd!

Stockport (a), Harrogate (H), Notts County (a) our next 3 games. Will probably find out if we're automatic contenders or not in that run.

A lot of movement in the top 8-10. Stockport are the first team to break through the 60 point barrier. Only 11 points away from a likely PO spot for them. Mansfield keep pace but remain 4 points behind. Crewe jump into a top 3 spot after Barrow and Wrexham both lose. Wrexham have lost 3 straight, wheels coming off? Are just a blip?

Harrogate finally break into the top 7 thanks to an incredible run of form. Wimbledon and Gillingham remain on their heels after 2 good wins over other promotion contenders over the weekend. Notts County's poor form finally catches up with them and they drop to 10th. They look at bigger risk of being overhauled by the likes of Newport and Morecambe than getting back into the top 7 currently. Still, a lot of football left to play.

1st - Stockport, 61 points, GD 35: Crewe(H), Tranmere(A), Gillingham(A), Swindon(H), Colchester(A)
2nd - Mansfield, 57 points, GD 28: Harrogate(H), Walsall(A), Salford(H), Newport(A), MK Dons(H)
3rd - Crewe, 54 points, GD 12: Stockport(A), Harrogate(H), Notts County(A), Morecambe(H), Doncaster(A)

8th - AFC Wimbledon, 46 points, GD 12: Accrington(A), Morecambe(H), Crawley(H), Doncaster(A), MK Dons(H)
9th - Gillingham, 46 points, GD -7: Swindon(H), Newport(A), Stockport(H), Wrexham(H), Salford(A)
10th - Notts County, 44 points, GD 5: Newport(A), Wrexham(A), Crewe(H), Sutton(H), Bradford(A)

Tuesday 13th February
Accrington Stanley v AFC Wimbledon
Barrow
v Forest Green Rovers
Bradford City v Milton Keynes Dons
Gillingham
v Swindon Town
Mansfield Town v Harrogate Town
Newport County v Notts County
Stockport County
v Crewe Alexandra
Sutton United v Wrexham

1st v 3rd and 2nd v 7th look to be the pick of the Tuesday games. Wimbledon, MK Dons, Notts County and Wrexham all have long away trips which pose their own challenges. Gillingham and Barrow look to have the most favourable fixtures.

Saturday 17th February
AFC Wimbledon
v Morecambe
Crewe Alexandra v Harrogate Town
Newport County v Gillingham
Salford City v Barrow
Swindon Town v Milton Keynes Dons
Tranmere Rovers v Stockport County
Walsall v Mansfield
Wrexham
v Notts County

Harrogate and Crewe play their 2nd promotion chaser inside a week, namely each other. Most sides have away fixtures, with only Mansfield I would say having a favourable game. Lots of tricky trips in there to inform teams or sides who are tough to beat on their own patch.

To be honest I'd take 3 points from the next 2 games, 4 would be incredible.

Barrow crumbling as I expected, reckon it's realistically between the other 6 teams in the top 7. It could all come down to who has that purple patch come the end of the season.

Notts could really do without losing to us on Saturday. 11 points having played an extra game is a big gap to plug.

Played all the sides in the Top 8 away except Notts and MK and Notts is our next away game.

Played Barrow, Mansfield and Stockport home and away and, by next Saturday will have played Harrogate and Notts home and away too.

Play MK in a months time and Wrexham final home game.

Still got the entire bottom 5 to play again.

We've got a very kind run of fixtures, especially in April. A fair few of those teams could be down and out or on the beach.

Optimism that we can do it has certainly shot up after tonight's excellent performance!
