You know, NY's record after 6 games at Alty read D3 L3 - since he left it's D1 L5!

Still, it's hard to overlook the fact that he signed Craig Hobson and Danny Hattersley...

I see Fylde won few friends in Stockport after last night's game. I didn't see any of the spoiling behaviour when we played them, though there is no need when you're 5-0 up at half time

BTW, who was the Fylde keeper last night?

We never had a problem with him until tonight. We felt he went down a little to easy on occasion (not all) when giving him a few songs as you do as its a former player he made a reaction to us at the away end which noone appreciated.

Why is there a need to make songs about him just because he's an ex player? If he wasn't crap for you or didn't leave in a mass of controversy then why make songs? Its no surprise that he reacted at the end footballers are still human.

He also scored plenty of goals for them (40-odd in three seasons IIRC) and really puts everything into every game. When he joined County he said this about Fylde: "Fylde do things properly, they're very professional and very thorough, their new stadium at Mill Farm will really put them on the map and I wish them all the best, the lads are brilliant and I've got on well with everybody at the club. Their average gates have gone from 150 to 550, so I'm made up for them and hope they do very well at the new ground."

So they give him shit when he comes up against them again.

AFC Fylde's official twitter tweeted about playing against Lloyd and Hinchliffe earlier this week encouraging a warm reception. Clearly those in the stands do not share the rest of Fylde's admiration for two players who were excellent for them for a number of years.

That being said, i suspect the fans at EP last night probably weren't supporting Fylde when Lloyd and Hinchliffe were playing for them.

Just to clarify the fans singing last night have been there since the kirkham days. We actually gave them all a great reception at the start. It started when Lloyds got a free kick and he started kicking off at the ref about it not being a booking. So we sang hes going to cry in a minute. Which he replied his own words to tell us where to go.

Many of our fans actually still speak to him and we did after the game too. Most chants were tongue in cheek. Naturally as fans and you all do it, the more they react the more you do. He just upset a few in the process.

We didnt abuse him, just gave him a little stick being on the other side. Nothing horrible meant by that. He us aware of that. Like I said some contacted him after the game and theirs no hard feelings

Just to give my tuppenceworth on last night's County v Fylde match

The first 20 minutes was pretty much all Fylde pressing, but it looked like County were going 4-5-1 and looking to stifle Fylde more than anything, and to be honest it worked. I'd guess we'd gone into the game thinking they're the better side and we'll soak up the pressure. They had plenty of the ball but rarely did much with it. Then County started pushing forwards ourselves and got some tempo going, enough that Fylde ended up putting in niggly little fouls in order to stop it. Unfortunately, it was one of those fouls and the resulting free kick that saw County stop the conservative mindset that saw us do well and we pushed too many forward - even Clarke, who looked to be on last-man duty, stuck too closely to his man, followed him to the halfway line and therefore out of the play when Fylde countered. Minihan (I think) tried to stick with the man making the break but couldn't quite get on him, Duxbury came across to try and intercept but that just left the other forward in open space, simple ball across to him and he put it away well. Easy to feel aggrieved at the opposition scoring against the run of play, but it was our own unprofessionalism more than anything.

Second half and the Hatters push on again, playing some neat stuff but couldn't convert. Then came 'the incident' - from where I was, right in line with the foul and the ref, I could see the elbow well up and connecting with Duxbury's head. (Edit - watched the highlights and it looks like a clash of heads from the camera angle, I'm wrong on this one)

You could tell that 10 minute break for treatment sucked some life out of the game, so it felt like a bit of a surprise when County equalised, Lloyd crossed and Spencer blasted home a daisycutter from outside the area. It didn't last too long, though. Fylde got a free kick in range of goal, Hinchcliffe - for some bizarre reason - thought his wall was 10 metres tall, it's the only explanation I can think of for standing three quarters of the way to the right of goal, leaving a massive gap to his left, which of course the ball went in. It actually went in fairly down the middle, so if he'd just been a bit more central himself could've easily blocked it. I like Hinchcliffe, one of the more capable & confident keepers we've had in a while (which isn't saying much) but that was stupid. It's easy to feel we were let down by the officials last night, and we were, but despite how well we played generally it was County shooting ourselves in the foot that saw us lose last night.

Also, that Fylde number 5 is bang out of order. Winning through jamminess, timewasting and cynical fouling should call for sheepish celebrations, not goading the home fans. Absolute prick.

I still don't see the reason to even make any chants, whether they were meant as a joke or not.

Why not just give him a standing ovation if he played so well for you? Its what other fans would do. Like when we played Telford we came up against Callum Gittings who played nearly 200 times for us. He got no abuse and 3 standing ovations from us. When they came out of the tunnel, when he was subbed and at the final whistle.

This.

Fylde showed last night they are a classless club so i guess it is to be expected. Reports from the main stand suggest the owner himself was goading and swearing at Stockport supporters at the final whistle.

Bankrolled club by a UKIP donor who wants a mini-Blackpool. Hard to get worked up over a nothing entity. Give it a few more years and it will be the players paying for subs back in the farmer's field when the money runs dry.

Saying you give stick to an an ex-player who has done very well for you 'because thats what you do' is a proper oddball comment though! I've seen players who've done much less than what Lloyd did at Fylde at County get a warmer reception.

Looking at the replay in the slow-motion frame there is connection with an elbow too, but expecting anything of the referees at this level is allowing too much.

End of the day, a few of his close friends were also singing at him. We are a smaller club and get to to the players personally.

Your all taking it out of context. We know the lad and were having a few songs aimed at him. Which were between us and him. It wasnt hes a former player give him hell.

When after the game we text him laughing about it. Im sorry you dont agree but it was something his friend's thought was funny winding him up. The rest of the fans got involved.

There was nothing horrible aimed at him. Thats it. If you dont agree with it because were "classless" then thats fine.

If were going on about horrible fans then the few idiots decide to bully one of our fans who has down syndrome on twitter. And telling him there going to smash him in at the return fixture. Poor lad is now scared to go.

Finally got our ground approved on Tuesday night. After permits, parking restrictions for access to the stadium/large vehicles and pipeline consent and stuff is done work will get underway. Probably start mid November I would imagine.

Meanwhile we had signed a young lad on loan from Cardiff called Eli Phipps, he's top goalscorer for their under 23's. Only played twice so far but he looks way out of his depth and has struggled massively. Leroy Odiero has gone on loan to Evesham for the entire season, quite harsh I thought but he made both errors for the goals Hemel Hempstead scored in the cup at the weekend. Assume we'll get a left back in on loan for a month as Hall is still out injured and Deaman cannot/should not play there!

Great news for your club as fellow exiles I know how it feels to be going home. Enjoyed our game earlier in the season at Whaddon road and had a good chat will some of your fans who were a very friendly bunch.

Just out of interest how are you financing the move back? Who will own the ground? Etc.

Great news thougH to go with the good season you guys are having.

I see Shaun Geddes has left Hednesford after making only 10 appearances.
Strange one this. In his first spell at Worcester he looked outstanding - great passing/dribbling, and scored his infamous 'rabona'. Thought he could go into the FL easily. Another example of a player that has great natural ability but not the work ethic go get to where he is meant to be.

Massive 1-0 win for Curzon today away at Nuneaton. We have a superb away form, just a shame we have lost nearly all home games. Was a huge result to ease pressure.

For a full time team (think they are) Nuneaton are really failing badly

County's second win over Salford on successive Saturdays. Didn't play as well as last week, but still just shaded it over them. Will miss Stopforth when he emigrates to Australia in the new year, he's been excellent recently

We got an excellent 3-3 draw with Fylde, we took the lead twice but were pegged back. Fylde then took a 3-2 until the 86th minute when captain fantastic Keith Lowe headed in to lift the roof off Aggborough. One of the best matches I've been to in some time, great for the neutral that's for sure. Absolute rollercoaster.

Btw, Danny Rowe of Fylde is something else, how is he not in the football league? 19 goals in 13 tells the tale.

was Dan Cockerline still on Curzons books and loaned to Northwich - or released and joined them? looks like we've signed him up...

Season long loan I think, but from my short non league experience players seem quite easy to move about

he's still listed on the Curzon site - but we put in 7 days notice for him about 3 weeks ago (as he was on non contract terms) - and he was training on the pitch before kick off

Well our game was a rollercoaster of emotions. 1 up, 1-1, H/T, 2-1 up, 2-2, 3-2 down, 3-3. Danny Rowe is an unbeliavble striker. I fail to believe he'll still be in the north come the end of the season. Fylde were easily the best side I've seen us play this season but their defence is very weak probably explains all their high scoring games.

Also DarkSithLord what is going on at Alfreton? 3-0 down you pull it back and still lose?

Very good 3 points today against Harrogate, the game was easier than the 1-0 margin indicates, 3 or 4 would not have flattered us, still keeps things nice and tight up at the top end of the table. We played well today and 8th clean sheet from 13 says we have a solid foundation.

We fucking shit thats what!

We consider too many poor goals, how no backbone whatsover and once we come under a little bit of pressure we are not strong enough to stand up to it. We are in a relegation battle make no mistake and the next league game is the bigggest since relegation from the Premier. Must win game at Stalybridge. Will we win? Doubt it. No idea where the next win is coming from away from home.
