Check out the FA website and you will discover that FGR are the best (least worst) in the Fair Play league with just 28 yellow cards.
Chester are 10th worst with 36 yellow and one red
Lincoln 14th worst with 33 yellow and 1 red
Tranmere 7th worst with 31 yellow and 3 red
http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/discipline/fairplay
So your complaint that FGR and Lincoln are dirtier than Chester does not have merit.

Unless I'm missing something, that's not what he said at all.

Anyway, our game yesterday was about as good as an advert you could get for this level of football but glad BT didn't pick it as the early kick off would of killed it. Wish our proper derby games could be the same, hopefully Cheshire police would have learned a thing or two yesterday.

Chris,
If Lincoln and Tranmere win their game in hand, it reduces our lead to 6 points.
FGR still have to play them home and away - that's 12 points they could take off us.
I don't think, come Springtime, we will be 6 points adrift but I never thought Cheltenham would be so dominant last season.

Lincoln and Tranmere will struggle to score against us let alone beat us twice. If they nick a draw they'll be over the moon.

Cheltenham looked the real deal at this point last year, other then us no one looks close to that this year.

RIP to the Chester fan.

Agree, they should have picked the 6 goal thriller between two sides in the top 7 ;)

Had a nights sleep and am still gutted. Thought we were the better side in the 2nd half and being 3-2 up after 95 minutes really should have won the game. I don't think Kanu was playacting, he had been struggling with cramp for 10-15 minutes and Waddock is not the kind of manager who would tollerate that anyway. That said, we really should have taken him off earlier in hindsight. If there is any blame for the goal its probably Cole's poor punch from the initial cross.

Had a couple of relatives with me who thought it was a great game of football between two decent sides.

We've now played the top 3 away and were not outplayed by any of them. We could and should have taken 5 points from those games but only took 1, fine margins I feel will cost us later in the season. Still, we've now played 5 of the top 6 away so our away fixtures can't get any harder!

Can't really argue with much of that, apart from Robinsons disallowed goal for offside was onside as I have seen a still pic of the moment he received the ball. Theo was at least a yard on so taking that just before HT and the game would probably have been a much different outcome at 3-1.

Was a very entertaining game and a good footballing spectacle. Aldershot were very impressive, would like to think both teams will be in the mix at the end of the season.

DSY - useless as others have said, cheers for the middle finger you prick

Any "fan" who shouts continued abuse at their own player throughout the game deserves the middle finger at the very least. Shame he didn't jump in the crowd and punch your lights out, you fucking moron. (And before anyone says it - yes, I know he probably wouldn't have got a decent connection with his fists either)

DSY is a top lad, as is his dad. Doesn't deserve his own fans abuse, especially at the club he started his career, even if he's not exactly the best player in this league.

I repeat Tranmere are the dirtiest team we've played this season. Card counts mean fuck all. The point is teams like Tranmere, FGR and Lincoln have perfected the dirty stuff and referees like we had yesterday, and there are many of them stealing a wage in this league, are completely incapable of spotting the underhand, sly stuff of which FGR are the daddies.

Lol. We are the best footballing AND fairest team in this league mate. FACT.

No need for underhand sly stuff when you are a cut above everyone else. Great to see the team with the best discipline ROMPING to the title. It's good for football to see the good guys do well.

Yep. Let's just politety shout "oh unluckly Delano" after his 15th air shot.

Ugwu has 2 goals in 16 league starts now.

Obviously just a really unlucky strike partnership.

I agree with ya mate but the sad fact is its a race to the bottom the likes of eastleigh, fgr , welling and dover kicked lumps out of us at our place last year when we tried to play football, sadly, and i dont like it, we have had to muscle up this season . Purists will hate me saying it but unfortunately in this case two wrongs do make a right.

Buddy I think you need to take your rose tinted glasses off, we just scraped a draw against a team who had scored once in 9, twice in fourteen, it's not fucking good enough. I pay my money, follow my team around the country, if I think a player isn't up to it, i'll fucking tell them. "You fucking moron".

Every time Traore has played this season he's had the shit kicked out of him, leading to two injuries, doidge gets fouled a lot too. Like yesterday for example, one of the macc players went off injuried after a 50/50 with Liam Noble, no intent to hurt him, the reff played on and it was Noble that stopped play so he could receive treatment. No dirty pennock tactics this season!

that card count tables not too accurate either - unless Wrexham are doing shit because they don't tackle?? 22 games in all competitions and 0 yellows and 0 red cards.....
Also it counts rescinded cards.... Hughes of Barrow was sent off at Taunton, but it was overturned on appeal, but still appears on the list meaning Barrows total should be 12 points less putting us joint 13th with Lincoln and Southport not 9th

I know it's not good enough. But as far as I know, DSY didn't sign himself, and he's not the one who picks himself ahead of Kandi. So maybe brain-dead fuckwits like you should be shouting abuse at the manager instead?

I thought it was a really good game against Chester yesterday, with us bossing the first half and them the second. Haven't seen the goals so can't comment on handballs but the referee was woeful, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were. Let's just make this clear so I can't be accused of sour grapes - Chester were very good and definitely deserved the point. However, I'm not going as far as saying they deserved the win because we were very good in the first half and had chances to put the game to bed in the 2nd as well.
No arguments about the 2nd yellow for Tollitt, but the first is one of a number of really strange decisions that did have an impact on the game.

As for us being dirty, I don't believe we are any worse than anyone else. If the Chester lad walks for a clear elbow on Harris, or Vaughan goes for a really late tackle then neither side could have complained. However, as was the referee's ineptness that the only red was for a young lad diving - not sportsman-like but not what I class as dirty, more 'gamesmanship'. (Not excusing it though). It was a derby game that the ref simply lost control of - booking Harris after 20 minutes meant we were always likely to see at least 1 red in the game as a minimum.

Using yellow/red card stats to prove a side are dirty is a load of bollocks. Everyone who saw Norwood's red the other week said it was a farce and yet he's missing for 3 games. Tollitt has gone for a debatable booking and a dive, again not 'dirty'. The really dirty guys, like our own McNulty at times, are cute to the refs and don't get caught and the inconsistency in decision making means the disciplinary tables mean very little as far as I'm concerned. A guideline, sure, but I prefer to see sides play and judge them on that. To that end, Eastleigh were appallingly dirty last season and the complete opposite this.

With regards FGR winning the league - they've not beaten a side in the current top 6 yet so I wouldn't be so cocksure. Good results needed against Lincoln and ourselves before I'd start gloating as it could look a whole lot different with 2 defeats in 4 days. No doubt you're a good side but so are ourselves and Lincoln. Whenever FGR have been tested by the current top 6 they've dropped points.

Final point - this website is incredibly unstable. It's a real shame as it's a good source of interaction but I rarely post now due to adverts and crashes.

Of course you CB who scored the winner elbowing Jay Harris is ok, or the lunge on him 2 minutes before that, or the lad who stood on Tollitts foot where we should have had a penalty, instead he gets sent off for a "dive". Referees in this league always route for the underdog, of that there's no doubt.

The game itself was a typical Derby, though we simply turned off second half. Still, down to 10 men for 30 mins at 2-1, a draw isn't the end of the world. Chester will probably go back to being bang average next week now they've had their big day out.

Braintree & FGR away next too, Norwood back and we will be signing a CM this week to cover injuries. We'll be fine.

Enjoyed the game yesterday, thought Chester looked good in the second half, their front two looked dangerous all game. Would have liked to have seen Stephenson brought on for cook in the last 10 to give us an out ball, with Cook on the pitch it was just coming straight back every time.

Good support from Chester, in both noise and numbers. Was happily surprised by the overall attendance as well, 7800 is about 1000 more than what i was expecting.

Had enough chances to win two games. Comical stuff in front of goal. We needed to win that and, somehow, almost lost it. This league is terrible yet we look like we might drop out of it.

One defeat in eleven games for us, quite like being this average!
