A guid dram
Don't think this will be easy at all, and predicting a tight game. Will plump for 2 - 1 the Reds.

Even Lawro thinks we might get a draw so probably means an easy Liverpool win.

Mane will score to celebrate his new contract.

Shame we didn't get that penalty at 0-0 for the foul on Hughes .

Might have made it interesting but credit to Liverpool - took chances eventually and deserved the win .

We did ok I thought - Foster made some good saves and unlucky on goals .

Nice easy next home game next - Man C!

I’m kind of on the fence regarding the penalty. On one hand Robertson goes in studs up, on the other hand Hughes tries to buy with with every penny he’s got. The way he falls is ridiculous.

I’ll concede however that had it been at the other end I’d probably call it stonewall.

Play as well as you did for the first 60 minutes today vs City and we might catch them!

Yes - and actually the players didn't appeal too much.

Probably would have missed the penalty anyway - and it didn't impact on the goals you scored of course.

Man City beat us 6-0 last season...and apparently we played ok then too!

:dk::err:

Going into a tough run of games - good job we've got a decent total already.

Does Pereyra always go missing against the big teams? Was completely invisible yesterday after such a promising start.

Probably just marked well - not allowed to cut inside and have time on the ball .

Watford have been one of the best attacking units in the league this season ,so for their manager to adopt different tactics was testament to the strength of this new Liverpool and how any team prepared to play attacking football will be hovering dangerously on the cusp of precarious.

I thought Lovren was superb all afternoon, Deeney who proposes a physical threat bordering
on fighting off a Rampton escapee (Joe Allens teeth are still rattling ) was brilliantly shackled and controlled by a Croatian who is desperate to stand next to the Big Dutchman.

Still a gear to find for the reds ,but this Liverpool team is an entirely different animal from last season ,this Liverpool team only attack when your foolish enough to let them and Watford for the first 45 had no desire to don a dunces cap.

Fair report that - you certainly defended when required although as you say we didn't really go for it as such.

Deeney can be a handfall bit isn't quite the player he once was.

As Bilo suggested our wide players didn't really do as much.

Our weak link or your main outlet was on the right wing which is where 2 of the goals came from.

I suspect the managers reasoning 'however anomalous it appeared to the onlooker' behind dropping Firmino so deep was to afford him the freedom to feed the wings and spread the play in order to get in behind your defence. The first half you marshaled us more than effectively but in the second it was less disciplined and Firmino played more in the hole behind the forwards creating the passages of play which attributed to our victory.

Ah, I was wondering why our play was so incredibly focused down the right hand side when Shaqiri kept giving the ball away. This kind of explains it, I suppose.
