Mick Wadsworth also did a decent job with us. The football was uninspiring but we were a solid mid table L1 side at the time, had been for a number of years and we sacked him for 8 home games without scoring a goal I think it was. I'd love those days back. Scoring 0 at home to Peterborough is the stuff of legends now.

Stuffed away at Stevenage , Handing Port Vale a cup tie , stuffed at home , heading towards the bottom ..... other clubs sack people for less ...

Featherstone must have some kinky blackmail pics of Hignett, he is seemingly untouchable, playing him just behind Paynter today was amazing.

It's Pools though, we excel in accepting shite.

The message boards and FB page aren't accepting it .... next home game is Boxing day , no way will the crowds dip ...its a chance to escape the family ...if we lose that , and that's a very 'small' if , the crowd for the Fri night game v Morecambe will be sub 2000.... , assuming a defeat at Pompey next week , we may well be in the bottom 2 come the new year , if he's still in charge under those circumstances there will be a riot

Ideal scenario is bin him off tomorrow, let Collins or some other clown take the Portsmouth match (which is a write off anyway) and get a new manager in for the Blackpool game.

But it won't happen, he'll come out and say the players are hurting, time to put things right, training has been excellent, blah blah fucking blah, I'm starting to hate Hignett more than Martin Scott.

Three out of the five were. The second would have been a penalty had it not deflected in.

That WAS a shock ..... hasn't put me off boxing day , as it's more a day out with me son , but the Morecambe Friday game means me moving a little mountain and asking a favour , I don't think I'll bother

Aye it was a shock, thought it'd be sub 3k but it was still the lowest Saturday crowd of the season. That'll keep on getting lower. I think there's big trouble ahead and our shiteness on the pitch is just a sideshow. To be honest, the only enjoyment I get out of football these days is playing Football Manager after work's done, which is a bit sad considering I'm in my 30s.

True but wouldn't you have those days back in a flash? We were winning regular away from home, was just the home form with the dwindling crowds.

He was awful and was hooked off during the second half, made that Uche fella look like Lukaku.

He's the next Lukaku!! He does that to most defenders week in, week out.

They call that fat pig Akinfenwa the beast, but Uche is a proper beast. The way your defenders were bouncing off him for the second goal was just brilliant to see. He usually has three defenders hanging off him most weeks and he is the reason why Berry is scoring so many goals. At 21 the lad is only going to get better.

It's not really a boast to say how well he played against our muppets, we've conceded the most goals in the league for a reason, it's easy pickings for most opposition strikers

I reckon he deserves his own thread, he's that good.

I won't yet compare him to you know who, but he's well on the way to those heights.

No please don't otherwise this thread will be hijacked by posters telling us how good he is for the 1 meeeeeeeeeeeeeellionth time.

We won't shout too much about how good are players are on here but Uche is one we have high hopes for.
