Can't see how peole say there's no difference between L2 and the Conference. Definitely can see a difference in quality. If Dover were a L2 side they'd have beat us 2 or 3-0 but then we probably would've had that penalty in stoppage team with a league standard ref. The finishing looks more clinical in the division above, which is good considering we have Scott Harrison and Liam Donnelly who won't get punished as much here. Didn't go last night but watching the highlights, Macc did get in some great goal scoring positions but we weren't made to pay, a similarly mid to higher L2 side would do. On the flipside, Munns should've put us 2 up straight after the equaliser.

One or two new players and a settled XI and formation, then we'll kick on.

There is a definite difference in class between League 2 and Conference, but I think both Dover and Macclesfield will likely be mid table teams, so the difference between the top teams in this league may not be so much different to League 2.

We need a new centre back desperately. You are right, we won't get punished as much for Scott Harrisons errors, but we will still get punished, and they can and will be costly. I think we have players who could cut it in League 2, we have players who are top end Conference players, but Harrison is probably Northern League standard, and could really cost us our chance of going up if we persist with him.

Intrigued for Aldershot opinions on two apparent moments of controversy... our disallowed goal at 2-1 and then their third. Haven't seen any highlights yet but it seemed a fair delay before ours was chalked off.

Wasn't expecting much from these opening 3 games if I'm honest, would like to think we can come home with something from Gateshead!

Offside goal - no idea, can only assume someone in an offside position was deemed to be interfering but no chance of knowing from the East Bank.

Okojie goal - Seemed absolutely fine to me

Yeah. Seen highlights and looks like one of ours impeded Cole's vision and was offside. Frustrating as they're not always given. And yeah third goal we didn't protect Clarke from the aerial threat.

Again, frustrating but hey ho.

Just seen our highlights too, looks like the player in an offside position also jumps for the ball and although he missed that is enough to be deemed "active" these days.

Pretty much yes. You won't see a side play better, more entertaining football at this level. I don't think Woking are that bad a team but apart from a great ball from Ward for their goal, they barely laid a finger on us.

I am not making any predictions about where we will finish as Aldershot and Daggers look very strong again, but we are a better side than last season on that evidence.

If you did not enjoy that Tranmere performance, you won't enjoy any.

For what's it's worth, I thought you were completely in control from about 10 mins in - pretty sure Carter's goal was our first shot on target.

Cook's goal was absolutely shocking defending and I have no idea how Staunton wasnt sent off.

WE GO (up north) AGAIN.
