We're facing another mediocre midtable team so another boring 0-0 draw inbound.

It won't be 0-0, we don't do clean sheets this season. It all depends on SE's team selection whether we put in a good performance or not. If he picks the right team, I'll go for a sneaky 2-1 Stags win.

I think we have started to gel in front of goal. I am going 2-0 and Ponti to gain his first league goal.

We won't win.

He'll start with bloody useless "i don't score" Hemmings upfront, again.

Except he's scored 2 in his last 3 league games.

Well, one hit him - but they all count.

That's 2 in about 15 odd games - hopefully for all concerned he starts to come good and has the same ratio - when at the game i'll give him all the positive encouragement I can.

I just expected a better return for the playing budget he's got

If we continue to play how we did in the game against Exeter I think he will score a few. We actually get the ball wide and put it into the right area. We will see, If he don't get 5/6 from now until Christmas I can see him being replaced. Him and Rose do look as though they are forming a good partnership IMO though.

I thought all you staggies were raving on twitter and stagsnet how Hemmings would fire you to the title?

We were sold the ultimate dud.

In fairness to the lad he can run and puts the effort in. Unfortunately he's not so good at passing, shooting or scoring.

Either way, should be 1,500 at the very least

Two key suspensions but line-up still looks fairly strong IMO. Would happily take a point from this though.

Think that's me done for now. Can't be arsed wasting any more Saturday watching us not even try to win games at home. All the enjoyment of supporting this club is gone.

Right.

We won't beat Stevenage next week.

Unfortunately I missed the game due to food poisoning (probably while we won) but all I can say is ABOUT FUCKING TIME.

Steve, you've the budgets where we should be going to games like this and expecting something. We've an "easier" run of games moving forward. Build on this

Wasn't at the game but, from what I've picked up, a well-deserved win and could have been more than 1 goal. Two nailed-on penalties turned down and hit the post. Is this correct?

We still didn’t utilise the fact we have really good wingers and keep chucking it down the middle despite the fact Hamilton and Macca were really hurting them.

Our major problem so far this season is not creating enough chances and not taking the chances we do create.

We still had the second problem today.

It does sort of feel like we have turned the tide with today’s result though, it’s time to get a few wins on bounce.

Totally agree. Haven't been to the Ricoh since the Newport game. Not yet missed an away game though.

If Carlsberg did away days, then yesterday was one.

The most impressive thing was the support.

Decent numbers and incredible noise.

Nice to read some Cov fans saying we are best team to play them this season, SE is finally picking the team we all expected and we are looking a lot lot better, unbeaten in 7 in all competitions.. that's not bad and backs up my belief that we are starting to gel and turning the corner

Agree with the support and Mansfield's team. Both very good.

I thought personally we played well for 25 odd minutes and that was it. Mansfield had the better chances and eventually took one of them.

Time to drop Doyle I think, we have two DM's, home and away. Ben Stevenson is a far more creative player and should start ahead of Doyle or Kelly.

We missed Nazon but it shows how Jones-centric we are. If Jones plays bad, Coventry play bad.

I think that's our problem - we aren't taking the chances we create - we're still woefully light upfront and need to address this urgently in January.

We've only Danny Rose (and occasionally Angol when he comes on) who are really top quality for this league, and it's cost us god knows how many points so far this season. We've had countless draws which could have been wins had Rose had someone else upfront with him

So pleased to start playing better. We're entering a run of games until xmas where the fixtures are "kind" - hopefully we can make the most of this.

Kane Hemmings needs to hurry up and leave... very average, would prefer Angol in the team. He can actually get a decent shot away.

Weirdly enough Hemmings stood out to quite a few Coventry fans.

He’s certainly good enough but he’s not showing it.

Apparently he had one of his better games, unfortunately, I didn't make it.

SE mentioned that he's good at holding the ball up and his fitness has improved - which is largely true.

However, the idea of a forward is to score goals, and put simply, he isn't doing this. He's now played 14 games and scored 2 - one that I would have scored and the other against Barnet that hit him and he knew nothing about.

I'll reiterate, I want him to do good and to perform, but it's simply not acceptable.

I think he’s been pretty unlucky to be honest, ie at County where he was incredibly unlucky not to score and went off devastated.
