Two on the bounce for the U's, albeit against poor opposition but the confidence is growing game by game.

Hopefully Elito and Mingoia are back to help the crippling injury list.

Accrington will be a tough test and I expect a very tough game to end 1-1.

Out: Elito, Dunne, Maris, McGurk, Pigott
Maybe bench: Mingoia

Only two options really then, you bring in the beast for McGurk in a direct swap, or start Newton and play 4-5-1, maybe pushing Berry on a bit more. The latter is probably how I'd be inclined to go and unleash Uche in the second half, if we start him and go behind we don't really have anywhere positive to turn to when he's blowing out of his backside at half time.

Far bigger test than the last couple and I'm not particularly confident, I'd be happy with a point, but I'm going for a 2-1 defeat.

No great expectations from this one but we might manage a draw. It looks like we're down to the bare bones due to injuries.

It would be helpful if Dunne could start but if he can't even make the bench we'll be very thin on midfield cover with nothing in the locker up front - but then none of us believe the traditional Derry Thursday injury list anyway do we? Should we expect to see Matt Foy at some stage?

I'd probably start Newton ahead of Gosling, so my best guess/hope is:

Norris
Halliday, Legge, Roberts, Taylor
Newton, Clark
Williamson, Berry, Dunk
Ikpeazu

Injuries allowing, I'd expect to see Dunne or Ryan Horne and Gosling or (hopefully) Mingoia off the bench to beef up the midfield but I'd rather see Foy get a run than push a tiring Williamson up to replace a tiring Uche Ikpeazu. I bet Josh would love a chance up front.

Ikpeazu can't last 90 mins.... To be honest, he struggled to last 20 mins the other night. I'd start with Williamson/Berry as my forward line and play Gosling on the right as we are so short of numbers. Dunk was in a bit of a mess on Tuesday too - I haven't seen/read Derry's interview but I assume the blood red sock the physic taped up for him late on isn't going to keep him out of the game tomorrow?

I would go with the same side as Alan has suggested otherwise and give Ikpeazu 30 mins or something. The back 4 is at least consistent and it would be harsh to break it up after the clean sheet (even if Yeovil did miss some good chances). Got to build confidence somehow.

Fancy us either way - tails are up. 2-0 U's.

Amazing goal and 2 amazing injury time penalty saves from Norris. Hell of a win.

Stanley deserved at least a point but who cares. Inside of the post just before we scored and 2 penalty saves after 90 minutes - but Mingoia's goal (it had to be him) was worth 2 goals anyway. Grinning from ear to ear.

Derry's usual Thursday misinformation on injuries meant we all felt better at kick off - when we had a balance right and left, with plenty of scope for keeping or adding to momentum from the bench.

The ref was out of his depth, although they were stonewall pens. Stanley looked solid and carried a threat. We looked solid (until the last 10 minutes) and balanced but still toothless up front. The passion and belief in that dressing room carried us through again.

Leon and Brad will be a miss at Blackpool. Pity the trophy won't count for suspensions - I guess they'll get a run out against the Middlesbrough youngsters. Now that B Teams have been binned from the league, I might consider going down the Abbey if there's a chance of seeing some of our youngsters (Foy, Horne and Thomas?) getting a run out.

What. The. Fuck.

Some days as a fan you just have to put aside all the intricacies of a game and just enjoy the moment, last week was one, and today is definitely one!

Crazy, what a difference a week makes!

Crazy scenes to end the game. I don't think i'll ever witness something like that again at a football match.

Will Norris will be our next player snapped up by one of the bigger clubs.

Up to 5 saves now. Almost willing a pen, as it's almost like an equaliser, the way it knocks the stuffing out of the opposition. Unfortunately, he's not so great on worldy free kicks. Two good ones to see on the highlights today.
