Aubemeyang misses a penalty. Starting to worry that Arsenal got a player who is past his peak as pace begins to desert him rather than one of Europe's top strikers.

City clearly have an unfair advantage tonight. They are so used to playing in front of a half-empty stadium that they have actually begun to thrive under such conditions. The skeleton crew of Arsenal fans in attendance tonight should be shaking their fists in anger at the rest of them that didn't turn up.

Arsenal players walking again, absolutely shameful. A disgrace to their club and their manager. No irony, that is despicable.

Well fair result, I have to say I was wrong about Arsenal players having some pride and determination after the cup final. That is clearly not the case, they aren't even pretending anymore, not even at home. I'm not feigning disappointment at the decline of a once fine team, I'm glad cos it's Arsenal, just slightly shocked at the naked mercenary attitude. They clearly do not give a f*ck about the club, not even from a "putting on a show for the fans" point of view. Fucking shameful.

In other news England's Women are 2-0 up against France. Hurrah!:bg:

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
I was worried about a backlash tonight, but wow, that was one of the easiest wins of the season. They just gave up at 1-0, and neither side really bothered innthe second half.

16 (effectively 17) points clear will do me.

Correct, Arsenal really did not put much effort into that. Pathetic, the club has some big problems. If you can keep Pep interested you have a potentially long period of dominance in prospect. Don't get me wrong, I wish a thousand curses on Pep's head but I have to admit that his team look formidable.

I didn't watch the match but I have seen the goals. And what goals they were..!! Wow..!!

Perhaps the only consolation Arsenal can take from this is that they don't have to face Manchester City again until next season. Scant consolation though. They have problems that need to be dealt with immediately and the most pressing is that of the manager.

Personally, I think Arsene Wenger should quit at the end of the season. It would be for the best. It would be a shame because he has done a great deal for Arsenal.... is by far their most successful manager ever.... and he clearly loves the club, but he's a dead duck in the job.

Harry S Truman used to have a plaque on his desk at the White House. It said "The Buck Stops Here." There's nobody else to blame, Arsene. At Arsenal, the buck stops with you.

It's time to call it a day. Thanks for all the good stuff you did over the last 20+ years, but the club can't carry you for another season until your contract expires. Do the decent thing. Resign.

A tad optimistic there CP, Arsenal fans have been hoping he'll resign for years now! Job for life, very rare in this day and age. Cant blame the old boy though, he is earning millions!:bg:
