Just horrible, a combination of slow, crap, inept and past it.

Well this will be hard picking through the players who played for us in the 1st 2 seasons in the Conference with a couple of none Conference additions such as Emilio Diaz. I'll have to get back to you.

I could name an actual worst eleven from the period 1977-1986, of obscure players who played a couple of games and then disappeared, but the chances are that no-one else will have heard of any of them...

However a more recent selection of those who were merely inept, rather than appalling, would include:

Jamie Jones

Warren Goodhind
Neil Trotman
Pim Balkestein
Michael Simpkins

Tope Obadeye
Clark Keltie
Reece Brown
Harry Bunn

Mark Leonard
Ashley Grimes

Manager - Steve Eyre (who signed many of the above...)

I've seen Jamie Jones, Aaron Brown and Neil Trotman so far, all contenders to get in our shittest eleven as well.

My Oxford 11, difficult considering some rubbish we've had.

Mike Salmon

Alex Jeannin
Matt Day
Lee Jarman
Arthur Gnohere

Emilio Diaz
Jamie Hand
Stuart Gray
Ricky Sappleton

Marvin Robinson
Kristaps Grebis

Edit: Manager: It's a coin toss between Dave Kemp, Brian Talbot and Darren Patterson. I think Talbot wins as he got us relegated out of the FL.

I nearly included Gino Van Kessel who isn't a professional footballer but Marvin and Kristaps were awful at a Conference level.

Trotman was destined for the prem until Preston bought him. Then he forgot what a football looked like

Ian Ormondroyd was a useful player and has played in the top flight, something Scunthorpe will never do.

Any of around 20 players from 2011 for us. David Gill's son would make it, Craig Fagan, Jake Speight can't be arsed naming a full 11. Most from Peter Taylors time in charge couldn't play football.

Hard, because you had so many to pick from or because you struggled to find 11?

Kelvin Jack wasn't a bad keeper if you could keep him fit, which we couldn't. Tommy Forecast was hilariously shit, but we knew that when we signed him, you just had to read his Wiki page to know that.

Tony Bullock was absolutely abject and was in goal away at Burscough, one their goals seeing him diving into the net with the ball. I stick to my guns.

Oh there were so many players to pick from! Another Pompey fan would give you a totally different eleven, I'm sure.

Nice try, but we'd already played in the top flight, way before that dead weight came along.

It's a good selection, Don. I'd throw a few other names out there:

GK: Ryan Allsop - drafted in on loan for the play-off semi with Plymouth two seasons back. It was such short notice that I remain convinced he'd been dragged away from a 48-hour Xbox session.

Def: Danny Hinshelwood - very few Pompey fans remember his 45 minutes in a Pompey shirt. Looked Sunday League at best before he got the half-time hook. By pure coincidence his Dad was on the coaching staff.

Fwd: Hamilton Thorp - Terry Venables went to Australia, probably to open up a nightclub. Came back with five Aussies. This one was the worst.

My Wobblers worst 11. Reckon they might do alright in the Sunday Combination Division 7.

Freddy Hall

Danny Alfei
Kashif Saddiqi
Kevin Amankwaah
Ash Corker (C)

Ishmel Demontagnac
Nick McKoy
Gary Deegan
Chris Arthur

Clive Platt
Leon Constantine

Bench Warmers: Brett Johnson, Derek Niven, Josh Parker, Kenji Gorre, Greg Wylde, Emile Sinclair, Seb Harris

Manager: Gary Johnson

Not sure if i can even count Kashif Saddiqi as he never played a single games for us. Think he was some media/marketing product. If not Brett Johnson can take his spot.

I have Gary Johnson as manager as he came to get us promoted but almost took us down until Aidy Hoofroyd saved the day. Could have been a great but lost the dressing room early on after he allegedly tried to throttle Shaun Harrad.

I think Nick McKoy had as many red cards as he had starts. I dont think i have seen anyone lazier than Leon Constantine. Not sure he knew what a sprint was. Made Ash Corker captain as he the worst player i have seen for us. Danny Alfei wasn't far off...

But he doesn’t play for us now? Point being, he was absolutely gash when he was with us.
