First of all thanks to Ryan for doing our pre match team talk for us. As for our team it will no doubt be unchanged as it has been all season. Hope to see Dendoncker, Cavaliero and Traore make an impact from the bench.

Patricio
Bennett - Coady - Boly
Doherty --------------- Jonny
Neves - Moutinho
Costa -------------- Jota
Jimenez

Weird from Bertrand given we're away from home. Fair enough if we're at St. Mary's where we should be looking to beat anyone, although we are shite at home these days.

Going to this one, first game of the season for me and a first trip to Wolves since our absolute smashing of them in 2007. Still the strangest game of football I've ever witnessed. Wolves had the better chances, missed a penalty, Bialkowski played a worldy and anything we put towards the net went in. Probably the only time you'll see home fans appreciate their teams efforts despite losing 6-0.

Can't say I expect anything like that tomorrow, I think they'll be too strong for us and we'll be the usual defensive mess. Looking forward to the day though, avoiding St. Mary's like the plague this season.

2-0 Wolves.

Aye remember that game well. Didn't you have Rasiak and Saganowski up top? Even Leon Best got a goal that day. Definitely the strangest game of football I've seen live, despite getting hammered 0-6 we played well. Lots of fans singing super Mick McCarthy.

I think Rasiak was injured, iirc we had a fair few first team players out for that game. Saganowski got a hattrick, I had a great view of his chipped goal.

A win today would cap a truly fantastic start to the season. Was it Fulham Hughes was managing when he had the melt down at Mol and kicked about 5 or 6 water bottles over in a rage?

Great feature on Football focus on us then a 2-0 win. End of first half and start of 2nd sounded like Southampton were well on top. Great to have Cav back.

Yeah no chance we were well on top at any point in that game. We had most of the ball in the second half before the Wolves goal but we weren't doing anything with it, lots of sideways passes.

Defending for both the Wolves goals was pathetic but it's expected from our defence these days. I miss Fonte VvD/Alderwiereld partnership with Wanyama shielding them.

Surprised you didn't play Yoshida, thought he was one of your best defenders in recent times.

It's weird that he's yet to play in the league this season. Hoedt and Vestergaard make mistakes every game but we've got a stubborn c*** as manager it seems.

Wolves got Palace away next. Probably just the cup and playoff matches from the 90s being during my formative years but feel like we never beat them. Even during the Solbakken reign we were looking okay until we got took apart by Zaha at Mol and then promptly utterly collapsed and started the dark days of Saunders from that moment onwards. If we beat Palace this weekend. I will fully be on board that we are a changed beast.
