Getting into a slightly worry 4 League Games without a win and 6 in all competitions now. Jackett needs to tie down his preffered lineup and formation quickly. We had a few new signings on deadline day. Two of which stood out as potentially match winners. One being 6ft 6 Ollie Hawkins who looked handy up top, until being kicked in the head (apparently its was a legal challenge!!), also cardiff winger Matty Kennedy looked good depsite not knowing anyones names.. I fully expect us to go back to 441 after the 3412 failed miserably!!! Nathan Thompson looked good at RB after being injured since his 2nd day of pre season. Also the return of Matt Clarke. Also expect Burton Loanie Damian McCrory to start at LB

McGee
Thompson Burgess Clarke MCCrory
Lower O'Keefe May Kennedy
Pitman
Hawkins

We need to start picking up wins otherwise the confidence will drain quicky

That lineup makes sense to me too. Looks pretty strong as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see wingbacks again, but probably in a month or two when the new players have settled.

Looking at the lineup just makes me think of all the players that are going to end up missing out.. Evans, Bennett, Naismith, Conor, Jack, Rose. Jack in particular will feel very hard done by if he loses his spot - he's been mostly excellent so far. In fact, I'd say that there's a fair chance of Jack and Clarke being the preferred back 2 by the end of the season.

As for this result.. I think I said a draw or a loss in the Sep predictions, but really I've no idea. I think I'd almost value a good performance as much as a win at this stage, just to stay any worries of a season long struggle.

Not a clue which version of us will turn up. I will go for a draw.

I'd agree with Nelson's line-up too. Looks strong on paper. We still won't be up to full speed but I think we may just about have enough to nick this one 1-0 in a dour encounter.

I reckon Nathan Thompson will soon be a firm fans' favourite given a run in the team. That boy loves a tackle!

I believe statistically we're two of the least potent attacking teams in the division. Stats can be misleading but, sadly, in our case they are not - we have no idea how to get the ball to our attacking players so we either fanny about with the ball at the back until we lose it, or we play it long to our short-arse strikers and also lose it.

Can't see us dramatically improving tomorrow, so really it comes down to whether Pompey have it in them to score.

Pretty much a carbon copy. Our centre back are very comfortable and I think at the end of the 90 minutes both sets of defenders will have the majority of the ball. At least we now have a big centre forward in Hawkins 6ft4 ex dagenham striker if we decided to hoof, however Matty Kennedy looks like someone who could possibly do something with the ball out wide. I do think this game has 1 goal maximum in it

Latest news is that Jack Whatmough's out for a few months with a knee injury (again) - massive shame, I'd say he's been our best defender so far, up until Matt Clarke came back on Sunday anyway. He's had absolutely no luck with injuries in the last few years. 3-5-2 may still be possible with Thompson at CB and Evans as RWB, but you'd think 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 is a safer bet currently..

Would take a point, but looking at the line ups surprised if Jackett can't get this pompey side up the table, still we might be able to spring a surprise if we don't concede too early. Options on the bench are good and if it's close in the last 20 mins we could nick it. Still early days...

Lots of blood in the first half, by the sound of it. Slightly dubious pen?

I've always backed Ardley but I'm starting to think he may have run his course because this side is dreadful. No creativity, no fullbacks worth their place in the side, and only Lyle Taylor looking like a professional footballer up front (which is obviously why he starts on the bench). Ref would have probably let an on-pitch murder go with only a yellow card but that's nothing to do with why we were so easily beaten.

Obviously it wasn't, because everyone knows Wimbledon are the dirtiest side in the league

Don't worry, last season's (fully deserved) six points was merely an aberration. Normal service will be resumed this season as unfortunately this team has lost its physicality as well as the ability to create chances...

We aren't a flower with eleven precious petals any more so it really will be a new chapter for both. Hope it isn't our turn to lose for ten years or whatever

Seems like Wimbledon are missing the beautiful specimen in my picture, £150k as well, I'm expecting the police to charge us with robbery any day now.

I never usually moan about refs because these things even themselves out over the season, but I'll make an exception here. First elbow the view is inconclusive though the blood is pretty clear but the second... stretchered off as a result and not even a free kick given https://twitter.com/LawrenceTanner1/status/906583667295879168/video/1
I was there. Didnt really see the first Robinson one and the video is too small to see but I think Hawkins was lucky he was injured too as I could see him getting sent off. Still not sure how he ended up getting his head injury. Must have been quite bad as he looked like a stunned boxer walking off. Hope Dons Kennedy is ok. Didnt move for quite a while. injuries aside Wimbledon look very devoid of ideas apart from lumping it into the full back area for quick wingers. We got wise to it quickly. Think the keeper (Long) could play a huge part in keeping them up. He stopped the scoreline gettin embarrassing.
