Leeds vs Birmingham

will we continue our excellent start to the new campaign or will Harry's boys finally find their form?

think we will finally concede at home in the league but win 2-1

Roofe and Saiz with our goals

How does Alioski come back in after that? Probably only if Lasogga has to go to Germany if his missus gives birth or Hernandez is leggy.

Play half as well as yesterday and we'll probably win but the hype train usually crashes quite quickly for us so wouldn't be surprised if we failed to win here.

Be surprised if we changed a winning side but TC has shown he doesn't mind doing that...

Think we'll concede and as Magic says, this fixture could easily trip us up. Birmingham are going to be one of those teams this year that will have bad games but are capable of beating anyone. I'm going for a narrow 2-1 win - unchanged starting 11.

If we play anything like we did on Saturday then Leeds will annihilate us, we made a very ordinary Norwich side look like Brazil without having a single shot on target.

I feel as though we're a bit of a bogey team for Leeds at ER, that's the only crumb of comfort I can muster!!

3-0

due to our start and Birminghams signings i'd be happy with a point, 15 at this stage is still good, can't see us getting anything at Millwall, it's just one of them grounds we never seem to perform on

I hope Leeds win, I hope Harry redknapp fails miserably. Harsh on Brum fans as I have nothing against them at all but I hate that twitching corrupt twat. Shocking start to the season for him so far

Great how we could afford to leave Alioski out on Saturday after a MOTM display the previous game and now he comes back in for Roofe who had a great game on Saturday...Our forward options are obscene. No doubt lose without scoring now...

Wiedwald

Ayling Jansson Cooper Anita

Phillips O'Kane

Alioski Saiz Hernandez

Lasogga
Come on Leeds!

Sloppy half from us but we're winning so if it stays that way I'll let them off!

We really weren't on it at all tonight. Ball wouldn't stick whatsoever and the result flatters us. Birmingham pushed and could easily have got something, even if they weren't absolutely bashing the door down.

Another three points, another clean sheet, I'll take it!

Predictable.

Second half there were shoots of optimism, alas still a team of strangers when push came to shove.

Think there were signs of life there for you. I know our attack has much of the acclaim this season (not that they fired much tonight) but we have kept six clean sheets in a row in the league and you definitely looked more likely than most teams we've played so far.

Jansson is the best defender we've had in about 15 years I reckon (appreciate Radebe was still going to some degree 13 or 14 years ago). Ayling is just outrageous too.

Bristol City love giving away quality full backs for free
Ayling cost £750k, seemed decent business at the time to ship out our second choice RB.

Anyway, unlucky again Birmingham  I certainly hope Jota's injury isn't a bad one......

Our point at Leeds is starting to look even more impressive.

likewise for us vs you, looking a great point for both of us, we aren't a fluke this season

Our fourth hamstring injury, Adams twice, Vassell and now Jota.

We're not halfway through September yet, still plenty of time left for him & Boga to tear the league up.

In our 7 League games this season we have only had 13 shots on target against us, Birmingham had 5 of them. They are the best we have played so far, just narrowly beating Preston. Preston play Birmingham next up so that can be the decider. It was not our best performance of the season, we looked jaded and gave the ball away a lot more than we have been this season. Very happy to come away with another clean sheet and another 3 points. We will play better than we did in this game.

I have managed to get to all 7 league games so far and this is how I rte our opponents so far, based solely on their performance against us.

Birmingham 8/10
Preston 8/10
Fulham 7/10
Bolton 6/10
Sunderland 6/10
Nottingham Forest 5/10
Burton 2/10

I agree with that, but would slightly have Preston as 9/1o ahead of Birmingham

Pretty accurate summary there.

That Boga looks an interesting player. Did a lot of good work before failing to find the finishing touch - definite potential.

Much more even game than Saturday. Not sure what happened really but Leeds seemed to switch off during the half time interval, second half was all Birmingham but credit to the Leeds defenders (Jansson and Cooper in particular). This was certainly a game we'd have lost last season.
One minor concern is that we appear to have a very attacking bench - a game like this needed someone like Bridcutt to come in an steady the ship in midfield.
