Ben Tollitt won't be playing for us again.

Free transfer to Wrexham/Fylde/Salford/Morecambe.

Apparently decided to have an argument with Mellon the day he came back. Seems to have a real attitude problem.. such a shame he didnt get close to the potential he showed in 16/17

I think he was at our game on Saturday. I would be very happy for him to sign with us next season.

Rumour doing the rounds at today's game was that Turgott will be joining Orient.

Just seen this. We've had him before 3 years ago, it was during our bad owner patch though.

Could never fault his effort and the one worldie he did score for us, but I wouldn't want him back as I see him as a good player down here, he's never quite managed it in the league.

He'd be worth a punt for someone like Chesterfield, Dagenham or Barnet next season for sure - OR US IF WE DON'T GO UP.

If I could take any player down here, it would be Wes Fonguck from Barnet - He fits the criteria Ling and Edinburgh have been looking at.

Always remember Turgott getting a contract at Orient and posting something outrageously funny on Twitter (although the club told him to swiftly delete it) celebrating his "new six figure salary" also adding something along the lines of "new whip is in order ladies holla me."

Great character. You like to see it.

Have heard we will be in the bidding war for Glen Taylor this summer, presumably if Spennymoor don't get promoted.

Gonna take some financial clout to get Taylor, he has a job as a Teacher as well playing for Spenny.

I'm hearing that Maidenhead's London based players are looking to sign for London based NL clubs - so Adrian Clifton, James Comley and Harold Odametey could all be off.

I wonder if Torquay will hold onto Jamie Reid? He’s been smashing them in this season.

Fuck mine. If that donkey is Ekpiteta’s replacement I might as well not bother leaving this forum.

Lol. He's class. Probably better deployed at DM but I will be amazed if a league club doesn't sign him this summer.

I haven’t seen a player as poor on the ball since Igor Latte-Yedo. I’m sure Vanni will have fond memories of him.

I can only assume you're going off one game as he's technically very good, the problem with him is that he's too languid and rash at times.

Torquay born and bred so we have that in our favour. Plus he's been dreadful at Conference level in the previous two seasons (although played out of position mostly) which may make clubs think twice about taking a chance on him.

Sweeney to Orient

Yeah that won’t happen.

My opinions on Sweeney are weird. I really don’t rate him at all (I think the only reason he’s stood out for us is because he’s been our only tall player so pretty much indispensable despite his regular cock-ups) *however* I do think he has league potential. He’s a bit of an idiot (the Cruyff turns got boring quickly) and very likely to have a shocker of a game - but I think there is technical ability in there that’s could be polished to match his obvious physical attributes. Quite how he’s been voted our player of the season twice in a row I think encapsulates just how shite we’ve been.

Will he find a league team willing to accept his obvious short-comings? I’m not actually too sure - but I do reckon his agent will have him leaving us to investigate these options.

Don’t be surprised if he ends up back down here either permanently or on loan by the end of next season.

Rumour you want Conor Wilkinson which would be a big blow to us.
We will 100% be in for a targetman as Matt Harrold is 35 and will be released - There is also a chance we could lose Bonne and/or Koroma, so I would imagine he is on Ling and Edinburghs radar.

I've been impressed with him since he joined you, good left foot on him as well.

I'd rather have Wesley Fonguck :shifty:

Fonguck is another frustrating one, he tends to only have one half of football in him and doesn't offer enough off the ball for a well built player. He's constantly getting into great positions but still doesn't score or assist as much as he should, though he still contributed more than the rest of our midfield in that respect.

He's definitely good enough for League 2. For a big man, he moves very well across the ground. Excellent left foot. Plays with an arrogance summed up by his goal on Saturday. http://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/match-info/match-centre/1-3614270

I just worry about his attitude if it's not going for him or if he's not loved by the manager. He came to us to play for Peter Taylor basically as he'd managed him previously at Gills. Previous fans who have had Wilkinson at their club have hated him and called him lazy. He's been excellent for us since signing in November. His goal to minute ratio is right up there with the best in the league as seen in the link below.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/national-league/top-scorers

If we keep him, I fancy us to go well next season. Most teams in that top bracket have a goalscorer. He'll comfortably hit 20+ for us if he stays fit. Just praying he wants to stay and play under Taylor. For all of Taylor's faults, most players appear to like playing for him.
