Yes. Even more annoying than the Go Compare bloke. At least being irritating is the idea behind him.

Is that the "fat but then lost a bit of weight generic northerner" one?
Jason Manford seems to be going the other way. Same with Frankie Boyle; mind you the sooner that cnut has a coronary, the better.

I'm not sure what difference Frankie Boyle having a pet bird will make.

Gets coat.

The 'Match of the Day' intro tune at the start of a new season.

Which then immediately finishes to show Gary Lineker's stupid face and smug Shearer spouting his usual drivel.

So you decide to use a quote from the "Things we like" thread and reply to it in the "Things we hate" thread, I can't be fucked to ask why, but it does seem an odd thing to do.

Gary is a delight and doesn't have a stupid face.
He's like an ancient meerkat that needs put to pasture with that stupid little beard he's tried to grow.

I like the song, as I did with the legendary Grandstand theme; but when they get down to the meat and veg of the programme, there is a lot to annoy.

Bureaucracy within my local council. A neighbour's garden waste bin should have been emptied last Friday but was missed. I won't go into all the shenanigans but I've called them on her behalf on four days since and it is still lying outside her house untouched. Trying to speak to anyone in the Waste Management department is impossible as the initial calls are taken by a contact centre who are under instructions not to forward calls. Everything has to be done internally by fucking e-mail.

Local councils are pretty dreadful.

I grabbed some lunch earlier. Started eating, tasted this... horrible, weird texture, revolting thing, nearly threw up. God I hate mushrooms.

I eventually received a call from someone in Waste Management late Friday afternoon who informed me that this had been given a 'priority' status for Monday uplift. At 1.15pm, yesterday the bin lorry came along the street and WTF ?...............it drove straight past the bin.....:lol:. So I had to phone the Waste Management who had to phone the lorry driver who said he was given number 24 and there was no bin there and who was then told to return to NUMBER 28 which he eventually did and emptied the (full) bin ONLY...........................10 days late.

Being abysmal at any kind of DIY I have taken it upon myself to plumb in my new washing machine this afternoon after moving house at the weekend.

I'm certain the water in is fine - not so sure of the water out. Got my keks in at the moment on a trial wash. 30 minutes to go to see if I flood the kitchen.

Not good. Washed fine but wouldn't drain so it sort of blew the machine and, for some reason, my newly installed Virgin broadband hub.

Had to open the door with water still in the machine so that spilled all over the floor - luckily these new ones don't use much water. Got soaking wet under crackers outside in the vain hope they may dry.

Have called a proper plumber

I'm the same with ANYTHING practical Dan but wouldn't have attempted that because I know I'd just make a c*nt of it.

My Dad once left the transit bolts in a new washer... I'm genuinely shocked the thing didn't break through the floor.

No mate, it's just that when I fitted our dishwasher in place the water wouldn't drain, when I had a proper look into the problem I discovered that I'd kinked the outlet hose when pushing the unit back against the wall.

Another thing to remember is that some new washing machines are delivered with a safety bung in the outlet pipe to protect the pump...just a thought.
