I didn't anticipate Peterborough making the start they have, so no doubt it'll prove to be a diffficult encounter.

McArten and Thompson return from international duty, but can't see the former starting.

It'll be harsh on either Killgallon or Percival should either pave the way for Thompson, but the quicker we instill Thompson in that right-CB position to form a partnership with ideally, Percival, the better.

4-3-3 for me;

Colin Doyle

Tony McMahon
Adam Thompson
Nat Knight-Percival
Adam Chicksen

Romain Vincelot
Jake Reeves
Nicky Law

Alex Gilliead/Alex Jones
Charlie Wyke
Dom Poleon

2-1 City - Wykex2

Two very difficult away games coming up Saturday, Tuesday against teams we historically struggle against. I'd take 3 points out of 6 right here.

I'm going for a 2-2 draw as both sides look good offensively.

P.s that SuperPosh guy on twitter is a massive bellend with no life, if you post/read on this website sort your life out.

I am surprised at that...we spent some decent money in the March 17 transfer window and close season and also got a bit of experience and balls in the team in Doughty / Grant / Taylor....what has been more surprising is the immediate form of Marriott and Morias who are both on fire.

I think we should win Saturday possibly 2-1.

BTW the Superposh twitter oke is banned from our 2 supporters forums for being a plum and now concentrates solely on annoying people on twitter. Its all very strange as he is actually a nice bloke off the internet. He even runs the supporters club team !!!

So far all of our summer signings have proven to be excellent. Ricky Miller's suspension is over Saturday and he'll be a part of the squad and i'm looking forward to seeing him on the pitch, probably as a substitute. Until recently Bradford have a woeful record at London Road but i'm finding this one difficult to call. My heart says home win but head says draw.

No idea about Bradford, last year they came and beat us physically. If they come out with that gameplan this year they will have less success thanks to the rise of Grant, Doughty and Morias. If they don't have pace at the back they could struggle.

If they have good wingers we're still playing with midfielders as wing backs so that could work in their favour. Lopes is weak and I can't believe the Lopes wing back experiment continues....

Was our first game on Saturday with anything like our full strength side and in honesty it was a comfortable victory and we could have won by more. I don't think anyone knows how we will play really. It will be a tough game just purely with how Posh have started, I'll be happy with a draw.

To be fair though Bristol Rovers are an awful team though...I think we will pose far more problems.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us Posh and Bristol Rovers finishing in similar spots at the end, upper mid table maybe looking at a play off place. I wouldn't call them awful, they've got some decent players.

Do you have your own special transfer window in March? Everybody else's finishes at the end of January. :cool1:

My gut feeling is we are a little weaker than last season & Posh are clearly stronger so it's a difficult one to call.

We definitely miss our key men from last season that have moved on but the upshot is we seem to more effective going forward but more vulnerable at the back.

We pretty much have our best team available now so there can be few excuses and this is two attack minded teams playing so it would be a big surprise if there weren't goals.

For what its worth a kinda like SuperPosh. Some fans take him far too seriously and he's essentially just taking the P***!
I find that quite funny!

The dreaded curse that doesn't exist seemingly existing today!

Can't believe we are 3-0 up. Thought a draw would be a great result today but this is great. Hope we can actually hang onto this 3-0 lead this time.....

Yep won at a canter in the end, fantastic first half. Second half didn't match the intensity as you'd probably expect, still should have scored a couple more if Poleon had have released two simple square balls for tap ins earlier. That said he's a real danger, our fans who moaned we signed him are slowly having to wipe egg of their face.

Considering we're supposedly so much weaker than last season, we certainly aren't off to a bad start (although tbf that's all it is) we could have 3 more points and be unbeaten if not for a lucky deflected goal against Blackburn and imo poor management second half against Walsall, although can't complain with either result as we were poor compared with the last two games. Hopefully we continue to improve.

As for the Posh other than some poor defending for a couple of corners from us, I thought they offered little. I obviously don't see what others do in Maddison, decent left foot but what else? Every time I've seen him he's been lazy and greedy when they're in good positions, maybe he's just not my sort of player but Bodin from last week looks several classes above. To Pretoria Posh who keeps calling Bristol Rovers crap, people in glass houses and all that they were far more of a threat. Finally Ricky Miller first thing he does when he comes on is dive to try win a penalty the complete bell, well done to the ref for spotting it, after biting someone you'd think he'd want to make a better first impression.

Think we are not necessarily worse this season but we do seem more direct. It was all well and good having 70% possession and 20 shots a game last year but our actual goals scored was shocking. With Poleon's pace and the aerial threat we will be far more dangerous this season. The downside is less stability as we don't enjoy as much keep-ball football and so far we look more liable to concede.

2 red cards so far as well which is probably more than the entirety of last season.

We got none last season, tbh I don't mind the better sides have aggression and a bit of naughtiness about them, that was a stupid red though.

Well you Bantam fans, a signing in January guaranteed to ensure your promotion ( and for the ridiculously cheap price of £500k, give or take a few bob ) Andrew Cole. We'll throw in Hiwula as well, literally !

Andrew Cole would still be better than the crap you're trying to sell, regardless of a couple of goals recently. As for Hiwula, has he learnt how to hit a barn door yet? As we are only after strikers who can score these days.

In all serious though a couple of signings in the right areas in January could be the difference, but an attacking midfielder and winger are needed not strikers, we've just spent £200k on one who can't get in the team farcry from scraping around for the Jamie Proctor's of this world on short term contracts.

We were dreadful. McCann has got to stop with this midfielder wing back nonsense, i've said it time and time again. The chairman must be forcing him to play Lopes because he's crap.

Bradford were better than us in every department. We've finally played a reasonable team and McCann has showed how tactically naive he is.

A big test Tuesday and I think we could get another tonking off the Dongs. Won't be long before we're down with Gillingham, Oldham and the Wobblers.

I thought City were a very professional team...got themselves in front via a dreadful mistake and then just went at it instead of sitting back like many other teams would have done.

They only had 4 shots on goals and scored from 2 of them such was there clinical nature. As expected they defended deeper in the 2nd half but did it well and there was never a time when they looked like letting their lead slip.

A very solid team indeed with a decent support as well. Much better that some of the shite we have played like Cobblers and Bristol Rovers.
