Everyone bear with SERNWA over the coming days. It's not easy being taken hook, line and sinker like that (probably). In time, his postings will hopefully be back to the usual high standard.

Glad to salvage a point after conceding the first goal. Haven't seen the game but sounded fairly even.
Any Shrewsbury views on the game would be welcome.

I think most Shrewsbury fans went into this game , myself included, thinking we would be happy with a draw. We know we are due a defeat sooner rather than later and this might be the game.

That said i left the game feeling it was most definitely 2 points dropped. Blackburn Rovers supposedly have a squad who have all played Championship football however not one stood out and they were nothing but very average, and I can now see how Wimbledon won at Rovers last Saturday and it was Blackburn's 3rd defeat.

The game was fairly open and I was surprised how open Blackburn's defence was at times and we were guilty of being wasteful at times. We did have a header against the bar in the first half and Payne should have scored when one on one v Raya after an excellent move which Raya saved with his feet to stopus going 2-0 up.
Watching Raya in goal I am pleased we have a good goalkeeper in Henderson this season replacing the transferred Leutwiler to Rovers who I think is similar to Raya but both Blackburn's keepers whilst decent shot stoppers are not commanding in their box.

Both goals were scruffy, Raya showed indecision with a high ball resulting in Toto prodding the ball home, and defensively we were sloppy and slow to react allowing Dack to equalise. I did think Blackburn would push on but the game became very open with both teams attacking and we got behind Blackburn on several occasions but were wasteful with the final ball.

Blackburn did pick up with the 3 subs, and if I was going to pick a fault with Hurst he is very late with substitutions himself and I felt we tired in the last 10 minutes and earlier subs could have prevented the equaliser.

Regarding Mowbray's ungenerous post match I thought whilst Blackburn were average and not a promotion looking team, they weren't awful.
It is funny how every manager, with the exception of Pennock at Gills, has said it was their teams worst performance of the season against Shrewsbury. I obviously don't buy that, how Shrewsbury are playing at the moment has an affect in how the opposition try and play against us!

It is a long season and if we finished in the top 6 I would be ecstatic, but top 10 over the course of the season is realistic for Shrewsbury and possibly Blackburn as well.

A good honest assessment, i didn't go myself but I doubt that was our worst performance of the season.
Doncaster and Wimbledon at home spring to mind. We really haven't settled yet into any pattern or style of play, which is very frustrating.
I think playoffs is achievable at best but we can forget top 2.
I get the impression that Shrewsbury are a well organised and determined team, good luck for the rest of the season.

Bet you’re glad we’re doing decently aren’t you?

As soon as it goes tits up, Hursty is ours!! Water is wet, trees are green and Paul Hurst will become Rotherham United manager at some point.

To be fair we are all expecting it at some point - Hurst hasn't moved his family down to Shropshire so is having to do a lot of travelling currently. I think he would jump at the chance, especially with there being a good budget at Rotherham compared to what he has at Shrewsbury. However I think he seems an honourable guy so reckon he will at least see out the season, especially if it keeps going well.

A lot of our fans have wanted him since his Grimsby days, me included. Genuine legend at Rotherham as all time appearance maker.

Nowt will happen imminently with us with Warne doing suprisingly well but it'll happen at some point.

Hurst might well find himself going to a bigger club like Sheffield Wednesday, lets be honest Rotherham are still small fry even if he did make a hatful of appearances for the club.

Just seen that Walsall are unbeaten at home this season.

Despite three poor/middling performances, I'm remarkably confident about tonight. Having Holmes back from suspension and rested is a big plus for us. Some of our players are already looking a little leggy so wouldn't mind seeing one or two changes.

I'm off to Pompey in a minute. Hope the traffic isn't too disgusting. Head says draw but as dear old Sven used to say " I have a feeling" so I'll go for a 4-1 Gas victory. Nichols with a brace. UTG etc..

Everything says that sooner or later Shrewsbury will lose and that Fergie will suddenly realise what his best 11/formation is. Being a typical Donny fan though I can't be that optimistic. We probably will have around 60% possession create upward of 10 chances and lose.

We go to stadium MK tomorrow, pretty sure we have lost every game there we have played. Expecting a narrow loss today.

Tricky one tonight at Blackpool, who've started better than I expected but lost on Saturday. With players coming back to fitness we have a chance of our first away win of the season.

Oxford are certainties tonight v our overrated overpaid so called stars. Only 1 man to blame Lee Clarke he has no idea how to integrate these players. 90% of the Bury faithful are hoping we lose so Day finally sacks the clown. Probable crowd be way below 3000 tonight as well. Though suspect the Clarke out chants be loud n proud very early tonight.

Hoping that you manage a lucky draw tonight to keep him in a job until the weekend

Since when did Pompey have trumpets at a game? Watching on iFollow it's like watching an England game, only louder. Hell of an atmosphere both fans are creating though

Underserved goal from Pompey - we've been much the better team. Again though, 1 shot on target and we concede. Especially annoying as Pompey have looked poor so far, there for the taking

After battering Portsmouth first half, quite frankly we've been f*cking sh*t this 2nd half. Absolutely dreadful. How we can go from excellent to not being able to kick a ball straight is unbelievable. 2 shots on target for Pompey, 2 goals. Our defence is f*cking woeful. Sweeney & Lockyer should not be playing together, every time the calamity pair get together it's a goal fest.

The worst part is that Pompey aren't exactly good. They've worked bloody hard i'll give them that - probably the worst team (apart from Bury) i've seen us play this season. And we are still losing 2-0, what does that say about us?!

EDIT: Make that 3-0 - Lockyer made to look like a f*cking school boy. How he's getting game time, never mind being our captain is a crime.

Back upto 2nd for us.
57% possesion, 23 shots and 15 corners, how was this only 1-0. Fair play to Plymouth, they came with a game plan (defend and frustrate like Northampton) and it worked to a point. Took a penalty to beat them. keeper had a good game.

That has to be one of the worst quality 3-0 games I have ever seen, Rovers were all over Pompey in the 1st half but were unlucky but then didn't seem to turn up in the 2nd.

Portsmouth didn't play particularly well at any point but in the 2nd half they didn't have too.
