Minor counties in the quarters have been dealt with accordingly. Derbyshire and Leics abysmal and Glamorgan get an embarrassing attendance.

Don't normally cheer for Somerset, but would be happy to see a 'minor' county beat one of the arrogant big boys.

Division 1 Somerset?

I guess at least all these smaller counties are jam packed with English talent - there was plenty on show tonight. Oh...

I think he meant a county that doesn't stage test matches, ergo Kent are a small county.

I hope Somerset win, regardless.

Notts ought to win from here?

Favourites through so far...

Disappointed but we were 20 odd runs short really. Congrats Nottinghamshire, think they'll go on and win it now. So much power in that middle order.

We can't rely on our middle order in Australia, very worrying now.

Hmmm... opportunities left, right and centre for the likes of Wesltley, Stoneman and Jennings previously too in recent weeks but nobody has been assertive enough thus far to book themselves on that plane for Oz.

Root dropped at first slip. Bit of a shocker as that's one of the easiest ones I think you could get. West Indies have done so much better right up to that point. Bowling has been very good.

Blimey - have we been bad or West Indies inspired?

258 all out. WI bowled well but I think we've been pretty cheap with a few of our wickets.

Let's have a gander at how we do with the ball.

What are Surrey doing sending Pope out ahead of Foakes?!

Jimmy and Broad will sort the Windes out!

Surrey out beaten by the Bears and they will no doubt cry foul over this decision from the 3rd umpire.

Made all the difference in the end.

Least Stoneman got a half century.

A battle for England and they survived a few reviews.

West Indies very slow in their run rate.

Middle and lower order doing the job again for England. Excellent knock from Moeen and Woakes doing his bit too. Get it over 250 and I think England have this.

Been really hard work but I think England should take a hell of a lot more from this test than the first one. Needed to see them be involved in a tough contest with the Ashes looming.

Will we win this now?

Usual solid reliable performance from the lower order.

Based on that rather unfortunate run out it might be our lucky day!

Broad bowled and tried a catch - but dropped it and hit his knee onto the wicket at the non strikers end!

Broad and Anderson certainly putting on the pressure.

Solid resistance so far, we are going to need a little flurry of wickets some time either side of tea if we want to really take the chance to win.

Would be a good comeback after being so far behind (and the Windies not being able to catch a cold) during the first couple of days.

I think a draw is a likely result here, if we keep it tight. I am not expecting a flurry of wickets so important the run rate is kept down

That run rate is starting to creep up. The windies will pick up the pace after tea if they don't lose any wickets.
