Dale/Day weren’t spending their own money to gain promotion, it’s all tied up in various different companies and loans.

Dale hasnt spent more than a £1 of his own money and even that i bet he stole it off a poor kid.

So far so good. Not even kicked a ball yet and we are two goals better off than Notlob.

Interesting that a lawyer and backed up Dale.. I've read that he's quite a highly respected one too.

Depends how much Dale's paid him to back him to be fair.

Would a lawyer put himself in that position? Why would he bother putting his reputation on the line for a small club in the third division when he's been involved in some pretty high profile cases?

Just another point to add to the list thats named 'Odd'

From every football club a phoenix club will rise.
These dickheads won't be at your club for forever and if they do finish you off you will come back stronger.
Look at Newport, Hereford to name just to.
Start on the fucking Park if you have to. As long as the name of Bury is still associated with football in the town that's the important thing.

it could even reinvigorate peoples interest. The biggest worry is that we will have a full year without any fixtures.

Further update … Steve Dale has said on radio yesterday he has no intention of selling the club, and the only ones interest are lawyers turning up representing people in shell suits! This despite the local MP's interview on SSN at a similar time stating that Dale told a court of law of his intention to sell. He says he wants to finish the job... presumably that means killing us off once and for all?

Some talk over on ming central that Forever Bury may now be looking at putting the club into admin with Capital Bridge (something they tried and backed out of earlier in the summer). This would then open the door immediately to the new owner who, presumably, has already proven funds, to move in almost immediately. I'm not sure how quickly you can leave admin once you enter, or even if we are allowed to do so whilst already in an insolvency agreement (CVA)?

TA, Keith, Stevie what do you make of Dale’s latest statement - do those facts in bold stake up? Is this all the EFL wanted, or is he not mentioning something?
Sorry, been in Norway.
Dale is Grima Wormtongue to Days Sauramen in my biased opinion

To be honest ive lost interest. The amount of lies and non-communication is enough to put you off for good.

If it does go belly up.. Is there much appetite for a reformed club at step 7? Is there a ground you could use or get hold of?
Wimbledon started at the very bottom and look at them now.
What would happen with gigg Lane if you are wound up?

Why would the cup match be called off? It's a one off and if Bury were to get through this round and fold later then their opponents would surely just be given a bye.

It's a bit different from the league.

Guessing the next mini-deadlines will be Monday 12th when they'll have to decide to suspend their game v Gillingham (17th August) and then Thursday 15th for Rotherham (20th August) and finally Monday 19th for Tranmere (24th August).

If things aren't sorted until late in the day, and Bury do survive, they could potentially have a backlog of 5 league fixtures and 1 EFL Cup game to fit in. :ohm:

I know the biggest problem is obviously for Bury fans, but there's also the fans that would have paid for advance train tickets for all of these fixtures already, potentially non-refundable hotel rooms paid for etc.

The FA and EFL are not interested in the smaller teams. In 2010 the EPL just wanted rid of Pompey as any failures are an embarrassment to their "best league in the World". They supposedly tightened up the rules so dodgy owners couldn't operate like they did here again. In fact, they did nothing alongside the EFL as we found out within a year or two.

All they do is try to shift the problem. In Bury's case their only solution is to bump them out of the FL so it's someone else's problem. Ever see these dodgy owners pay the debt they build up? No, they walk away leaving fans to pick up their mess.

I think every prospective owner should leave a bond with the FA to cover wages etc should they default. If they can't put up some money up front then they're no good. After all, they all claim to be successful millionaire businessmen when they rock up at the clubs.

Spot on - Gaydamak said he'd cover all the wages and was writing cheques for millions of pounds a month then suddenly stopped writing them with Campbell, Crouch, Defoe, James on 80k plus a week
