So, Anyone had any season long bets yet?

Odds always intreague me. Just checked them out for the coming season and all 3 teams relegated with us are showing with shorter odds yet we only went down by a single goal.

Could understand it if loads of business had been done but We have barely seen any movement yet.

I usually go for us to win the title with a handicap but not looked into that particular bet yet

Messi not scoring yesterday let me down for a 66/1 bet. Had him and Griezmann to score with Mascherano and Otamendi being booked.

I usually do an e/w bet over the 4 leagues. But until clubs have finalised their business it’s pointless doing anything yet.

L2 must be the most difficult one to call.

I’ve gone £10 on Lincoln for the title at 12/1, which I’m happy with having now read Impish recent post.

I’ve got also got Vale for promotion as my fun bet. In Old Man Pope we trust.

Was very tempted to bet on Forest (14s for title) for a surprise but very disappointing promotion back to the EPL with the signings made and money they’ve spent. But I don’t like them so can’t do it.

Will do a couple of L2 top scorer bets nearer the kick off to the season.

It's a fair guess at this point that being closer to survival than the other teams might count against you when working out odds. When we were relegated, ourselves and Tranmere hung on till the last day, though we had little hope, Tranmere were closer to surving. Stevenage and Shrewsbury put up much less of a fight and their relegations looked nailed on for a good couple of months, they already knew what they had to do next season while we clung on to the faint hope we'd be preparing for another season in League One.

The following season Shrewsbury bounced straight back while Stevenage had a mediocre season. We were very nearly relegated and Tranmere were relegated.

Odds at this stage seem to be more about how much posturing a club do about going for promotion. This time last year Mansfield were odds on for the title.

Spain win, over 1 goal, Spain at least 1 card and 4 corner 13/5
Croatia win, over 2 goals, over 2 cards, over 6 corners 9/2

I don't really see any point trying to guess the outright winner of L2. Each way offers a more reasonable chance, in my opinion. I'll probably do an each way for each division, I usually do. Failed spectacularly last season though (Chelsea, Boro, Pompey and Luton).

I had 50 smackers on Luton last season. Now I'm sure you recall this time last year that everybody and his dog were saying it was either Luton or the Staggies for the title. Neither side won the league so that was 50 quid down the drain.

Would not surprise me one iota if it is someone unfancied this season too. Maybe not of Accy proportions, but maybe someone not on the radar.

We weren't great, in fact we were shite for most of the season but we finished in the play-offs that year which only strengthens your point.

Edit - last year I had Luton at 11/1 (very early on each way) and backed them for promotion at 9/4 which made me a little profit.

When I've done anti-post bets previously I like to search for value, trying to react to transfer moves and take early odds to try and catch the bookies out.

Other is basically MK but they don’t want to make out they are an actual club.

Nothing to do with L2 but Sky bet has a RAB on for the quarter finals of the World Cup and it’s all games over 1.5 goals, 3 corners for each team and 10 booking points each team which is 1 card for those that don’t use it. 50/1 so worth a couple of quid.

Did this bet come in? I know the goals bit did but no idea on corners and bookings?

20/1 Boston to win NLN.
Signed some good attacking players for that level.

Margetts from Scunny, got a few for us in the Conference. 12 in 20 for Gainsborough in that league
Nathan Arnold from us. A part of several Conference promotion sides.
Now signed Adam Marriott who looked decent for us but had slight fitness issues. Scored 20 odd last season albeit at a lower level. Combined memorably with Arnold for our cup winner against Ipswich.
They finished strongly last season and also have a promising young manager. Craig Elliott, who took little known Shaw Lane to the FA cup 1st round.
