Leeds will have been on 15 of their first 19 league matches this season including red button games, not long before every game is on in the top 2 league's.

Leeds will have been on 15 of their first 1s.

I reckon if Leeds went up they probably be on most week (at home anyway)

Leeds v Man U/C/Arsenal/Liverpool etc.

Much more so than most promoted clubs (but then even we were on 13 times one season!)

There will be a lot of media hype if and when Leeds go up. They have been out of the prem for so long, it will be hyped up to fuck. Also having a top 5/6 Fanbase in the country will also help with them being picked a lot for tv.

Leeds and Chelsea/man utd games will be on without a doubt, throw in Liverpool and local derbies if there are any will also be on

I think we'd be on slightly less in the PL which would be great

We’ve got Leeds on the 22nd of December, which is guaranteed to be moved for sky. It will either be moved to a late KO on the same day, or it will be the Friday night game which will be December 21st. Either way, that will be my works xmas piss up. A few of them from work want tickets for it, villa fans and non villa fans.

5 of our next 7 games are on Sky. It’s getting ridiculous now. That Leeds game being moved has pissed me off.

I heard that you lot were singing anti Sky songs because of this, but then Sky turned down your mics and just played generic background football noise. Any idea if that is true?

15 Championship clubs are having meetings with the EFL over the money they receive off sky. Villa, Leeds and Derby are three clubs mentioned, who are not happy with the amount they receive off sky. The red button is one issue, with attendances suffering, and the amount of times certain clubs are picked for tv. Money lost from fans coming through the turnstiles, because of sky is a problem. Leeds this season average around 400k viewing figures with us around 300k. Compare this to a low key premier league game, which would attract over a million viewers, hence why premier league teams get far more money.

Any idea who the other clubs are?

Do you have the list of what we average on TV? Be good to see that info if you have it.

Up until boxing day, we will have had 13 of our 24 fixtures on sky. I imagine Leeds, yourselves and maybe a couple of others will be quite a few more higher, it is getting to be a bit of a joke really if the clubs aren't getting paid correctly. It's perfect for the tv watching fan which at the minute I am but won't be as soon as I can go again, to be fair me personally would very rarely not go just because it was on tv but I fully understand why people don't obviously.

Thing is clubs like Leeds and Villa travel well if they’re on TV or not, for the rest of us the numbers take a massive hit and the experience isn’t as good. Take our game last season in December, both in the top 6 and going well, I expect we’d have had close to 1,500 up for it given we had over 1k at Wednesday the month before, but with it being on a Friday night rearranged 5 weekend before the game it’s inconvenient for people and we ended with about 500 there. Shit experience.

I’ll swing a guess at the 15. Leeds, Villa, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Blues, Boro, Stoke, Swansea, West Brom, Norwich, Ipswich, QPR, Derby, Forest, Bristol City.

From a Latics perspective I can’t see us being in the 15 as we don’t get on TV enough to warrant a bigger split of the pot so we’re probably happy at the current share although annoyed we along with every club in the Championship get so little compared to the Prem (cheers EFL) . However no doubt that the red button is hurting us. We’ve had two already this season that has hit our home crowds and another one coming in a couple of weeks against Blackburn.

Yep I agree fully. It can make away days shit. We've got reading away in a few weeks on sky, in our current position that would have sold out 2k for sure, won't be close now. The way it's going every game will be on, I mean it is now if you know how to use the internet. It's the home money clubs are losing why they will be moaning.

It’s all about the armchair fan. If people would rather watch games on sky, rather than pay silly money at times to go the football, then fair enough. My gripe is that the championship as a league is well supported(4th best in Europe) and it’s those fans that make it well supported that are suffering. Inconvenient KO times, not enough notice for some games, and just too many games on in general. Leeds always suffer, but with them doing well this season, they will be on even more. The red button is absolutely shocking tbf. Terrible idea, and terrible coverage. Fans through the turnstiles doesn’t matter to prem clubs, but it does to the leagues below. Some clubs need to take a look at themselves regarding pricing too.,

I've always regarded us as being decent with the prices but were starting to creep up their now with our match day pricing. Of the 12 games until boxing day, 7 cat A games , 4 cat A* and 1 cat B. So other than 1 it's been £31-£35 on the sides and £27-£33 behind the goals for the other 11 games, £29-£33 for away fans, now I know some teams charge more but it's not exactly cheap which will just make more and more watch tv.

We are cheaper to watch than you are. Our prices are pretty decent tbf, and we are cheaper to watch than we were in our first season in the championship.
