2 League Two firings in 4 days.

Hardly surprising given their form over the last few months. He seemed to have steadied the ship, but things have gone badly downhill for them lately. So, who will they turn to now? They are in freefall and could easily get sucked into a relegation battle, if they aren't already. So who comes in now?

Paul Wilkinson is taking charge for now but I have absolutely no idea who we could bring in. He would have to be a miracle worker to achieve anything with the sorry bunch of shite we've got in the squad. We're still in a heap of trouble but this is a major boost for us. The crowds should start flocking back at least but there's still the battle of wrestling off Fenty's grip on the club.

Guaranteed extra 1000 on the Exeter gate now, thank fuck for that but it's happened 6 games too late though.

Serious question, who in their right mind would apply for the job? No manager has lasted a season there for yonks, to the point Slade was only given a 6 month rolling contract. Meaning the board knew they'd no doubt be chopping again. Club's a massive mess all of their own doing.

Trolling aside, Paul Hurst was here for 6 and 1/2 years? But he’s Fenty’s only good appointment in his whole time at the club. Our last 3 managers have had 6-month rolling contracts. Unless the Trust is properly consulted, along with club staff, Fenty will yet again make the wrong appointment. Nothing will change until he goes.

Paul Hurst was on the same 6 month rolling contract.

As was Bignot.

Fenty said he wouldn't offer longer contracts to managers after the Woods situation although he gave his mate Slade a two-year deal didn't he?

Who's the early favourite among the fans? Having had a quick glance at the bookies odds, the candidates all look very uninspiring. Basically a who's who of failed managers from the past 12 months.

Would gladly take Stuart McCall or Phil Brown, not sure they’d drop down here though. Alternatively, someone like Luke Garrard would be a good shout though there might be a few clubs in for him, Cambridge being one.

No one knows. A lot of people have excepted the 6-month thing but it doesn’t sit with me. It was never specified until now and for what other reason could there be to let things get this bad? My thinking is that something like 2 years is a possibility and Fenty has agreed to pay him off a year of it.

Nwil Smith from Bromley would be a decent appointment too IMO.

I'm sure Shaun Derry has already forwarded his cv to Mr.Fenty c/o Grimsby Town FC. And I reckon Fenty will indeed offer him the job.

The board have come out and said Slade was also on a 6 month rolling contract giving them the flexibility to sack him.
Which begs the question why didn't they do it earlier?

His spell at our club will go down in history and he alone set the club back so far we still haven't recovered.
His win rate of just 5% must go down in history as the worst m anergerial spells ever.
We skyblues warned fish town what to expect and we've been totally correct on that.
Fish Town FC may just have saved their season
