Despite the way we’re playing, quite excited for this one.

Expecting a loss but don’t think it’ll be by too many. Predicting a 2-0 result. Think we will keep it tight for a while but once we concede it’s game over, we’re not scoring and if we do it’ll be a consolation goal.

I'm with you on this BD. 2-0 home win. If it is going to be anything different, then it'll be in Rotherham's favour I would think. Just hoping it is not another 5-0 as I witnessed at Millmoor all those years ago.

I think if we get the first goal then i fancy another home win because we always seem to grow in confidence after first goal and start to pick teams off so the key to beat us is to get the first goal and frustrate us like Charlton did and i think Scunthorpe are more than capable of doing that so the first goal is crucial imo.

Missed our best two central midfielders today in Frecklington and Potter so we wasn't at our best going forward but that was the best defensive display of the season by us so far.

Exactly the result I predicted. We truly are dire. Feel like no matter how many shots we have I just see one going in. No creativity in the team whatsoever. No good enough once again.

Don’t think you were that bad at all but like you say no cutting edge whatsoever.

What is happening with David Ball ? Is he getting much game time/is he injured or struggling to get into your side. Perhaps he should have stayed put at Fleetwood but then for an additional £30k a year or so I would have moved !

Been injured and then came down with an illness that’s kept him out for ages.

First start today and set up the second with an excellent run. Now he’s fit I’m sure he’ll feature more and help us score more.

It's been hard trying to fit Ball into the team being a number 10 because when him and Proctor got injured we had to change to a 451 formation and ever since then we have looked alot better and picking up more wins so it was gonna be difficult for him to get back into the team but he was only in the team today because we had two first team central midfielders out and forced into playing 4411 but he might have put himself back in contention after today.

Ball’s been suffering with a bad virus for weeks, lost a lot of weight and been frail. That’s why he’s been left out.

Watched it on the iFollow thingy and it pretty much went the way I thought it would. Alexander is talking up the performance and I've read other managers and pundits who have said pretty much the same, but the way we played will never be competitive with a side challenging for a top 6 place. Technically good and organised at times means nothing, if there is no end product. Madden is finished, I think. He chances conversion rate was never that good, but when it is getting worse and we are not creating as many chances, what is the point of playing him? Adelakun is wasted out wide and should be given a run as a central striker. Maybe a new manager would do that and a new manager it should be. I'll stick with my position of Alexander should have been sacked after the Millwall play-off second leg debacle last season and I'll say it again, keep him on and it'll all end in tears. Rotherham looked strong and I expect them in the mix at season's end. Cracking shot for the first goal and that big loanee couldn't miss for the second.

I thought Scunny were probably the best team we have played. Better than Charlton but without the finishers.
But of course seeing them every week Scunny fans know more than we do.
It was certainly our best defensive performance at home and for once the defenders were our best players.
Rather than relying on outscoring the opposition by having to get 5 we had a nice solid platform and you always fancy we will get a goal at some point.

Warney''s not doing too bad for a fitness coach....though he did credit Richie Barker with the corner routine for Vaulk''s goal.

Not getting carried away though....Wimbledon and Oxford away will give a truer reflection of where we are at.

HP - you're having a laugh aren't you. Adelakun as a central striker? He isn't good enough to play in his recognised position, let alone as a striker.

There was a reason that West Ham let him go, and a reason why he hasn't played regularly for us in the last 4 seasons. Not all those who have managed him are wrong, or are you suggesting they are? League 2 at best for him.

Talking to a Premier League scout about Adelakun a while back and I suggested that we should try him in the middle. He agreed that the lad has exceptional pace over the first few yards, a cracking shot and can have close control of a very high level. All important attributes for a central striker. We both believe that he is undisciplined and that is where the problem lies. The scout thought that having a look at him in a more "involved" position in the centre would test his maturity and a way to find discipline. He thought it would be worth trying, since the lad has time on his side. Like me, the scout sees Adelakun as ineffective in his "recognised position", where he is too inconsistent.

Not having a laugh at all, KetIron. Just looking at what we could do with him or try with him before we let him go. I am not suggesting all those who have managed him are wrong. But, to keep trying the same thing with him is not the way forward. If someone doesn't understand me on the telephone because English is not their first language, do I say the same thing, but louder? Or do I try different words?
