Probably the most important meeting between the two sides in history. Rochdale have been excellent the last month or so, whereas we have been meh.

Creating chances but not putting them away, we need Doyle to find his shooting boots again that’s for sure. Henderson missing for Dale could be key, however I’m still not that confident tbh.

I’m just hoping fatigue is getting to them because they’ve been playing quite often recently.

Placide

Wilson - Gerrard - Edmundson - Hunt

Fane

Gardner - Byrne - Pringle

Doyle - Nazon

Result of this game is going to be absolutely massive, and I'm not very confident at all.

I’m not confident either. Trying to make myself feel better by telling myself I won’t have to visit the same L1 clubs for the 21st year running should we go down.

Huge game for both clubs. I'd imagine that Latics will bring 2500-3000 which is superb support. Just hope the people of Rochdale turn out to show their support as well, but can see us being outnumbered.

As for the game; it really could be anything. Our recent form is good, apart from a battering from Wigan. However, we don't do what we are predicted to do, so I'm nervous. Just wish we'd played as we have recently before Xmas, when we were awful.

Bored of playing and not performing. We've played them a shit load In the past 10 years - prefer Oldham as we give a performance now and again and they bring double the amount of fans so its a much better atmosphere

Missed pen, could be costly that for Dale....
They should be 2 up really.

Absolute carnage this game. Our ‘day out’ mongs have resurfaced for the annual Dale awayday, with one getting ejected after running on the pitch to attack the referee for giving the pen.

Then they miss it, and it’s just goes off. Bottles everywhere. Some absolute c*** amongst us for these types of games.

If Oldham drop do you reckon you’ll stick with Wellens? Must admit always had him down as a bit of arse whole when he played for us, bloody good player... perhaps one of our best ever but a mardy arse.

Wellens can go for me. Tactically inept. His team is the softest I have seen in the shirt. No fight no endeavour. Don even think we had a shot on target.
One of the best strikers we have had in years with the ball at his feet and he plays the high ball up to him all game.
Seriously doubt we have it in us to pull through these next 4 games. Dale will stay up so we have to better one of the teams above us and I can't see it.

For probably the best ball playing midfielder we have had in the last 20 years he refuses to play the football Byrne and Doyle are capable of.

And this isn' a knee jerk reaction to a poor performance. We have won 1 in 8 and disregarding his supurb honeymoon period we would probably be down with bury at the bottom.

His signings are questionable as well

Dale much the better team but lacking composure in front of goal.

Henderson needs to be cleaning the rest of the teams boots until the end of the season . He would have made all the difference tonight, against what is possibly the worst Latics team I have ever seen going back to the early 70's.

Plenty of idiots from both teams tonight, including one pillock running onto the pitch and trying to attack the ref.
Hope he gets a custodial sentence for that. The absolute BIFFO.

Abject. They really don't deserve the numbers we get away from home.

Never give ourselves a chance last season we were walking into august with a squad of about 10. This season we came into it with no first team keeper on our books, even Blackpool away within the first few weeks of the season starting we couldn't name a full bench. We don't give ourselves a chance. Absolute shambles. Hopefully this new owner is the real deal and has a bit of backing with him and we build something which gives us a chance of success. Or knowing our luck he's a Moroccan who owns a taxi firm in Moston.

It's a miracle we've stayed in this league for so long, I still fear we've ran our luck too much and this is the year we go.

That was utter garbage. Wellens can go for me the moment this season is up regardless of our division. Not a single shot on target is an absolute embarrassment. Doyle getting absolutely no service again, nazon made the wrong decision every time he got the ball, Byrne was non existent. Only the back five come out with any credit from tonight.

Who would Oldham fans rather play, Bury or Rochdale?
