We have the annual knobbing at Swindon on Saturday then Newport Home, Barnet and Grimsby away.
If we are still no more than 4 or 5 points clear after those 4 games i'd say we are in huge trouble.
Also Easter we have Chesterfield and Crewe.
I couldn't predict the 2 teams at this moment. Be loads of twists and turns and the Newport story from last season shows anything is possible which means do not rule Barnet out yet.

After Swindon we have

Newport H
Barnet A
Grimsby A
Stevenage H
Wycombe A
Chesterfield H
Crewe A

Massive games for us those, aside from Wycombe, 3 wins from them 7 and we should be about there.

To be fair you couldn't hand pick better games than Newport or Stevenage at home. Both mid table going neither up nor down. Newport seemingly slipping after the Cup euphoria. Guarantee Vale find some sort of way to balls it up.

If we somehow stay up this season, we'll be a waste of everyone's time and money next season as we'd be putting off the inevitable.

It did seems from the highlights that we did at least look like we could score - eveneif they're keeper did play a blinder. Thats certainly improvement from McGee. I also think Westley has a theoretically crap midfield playing much better than past performance suggest.

I would like to see Vilhete start on Sat. as we really need to go for them from 0 mins, not our usual 85.

When I went on my first break at work last night at around 9PM the live league table had us only 6 points off relegation and having played an extra game so to check on my next break and see it was back to 9 points was a big relief. If we can survive this year we only have 5 of this useless bunch contracted to next season so the new manager can get all his own players in so I'm hopeful of a much better 2018/19, that's as long as we stay up this season of course.

Did Slade give the mighty Hooper and Kelly 2 year deals?

We've booked out a carriage on EM Trains already. 68 of us. When we booked it we thought/hoped it would just be an end of season **** up. God knows what it will be if we go down. A riot more than likely

Will likely be my only game this season after Saturday, purely down to the fact i've shelled out for train tickets.

I wish I could offer you something positive and believe we will both have nothing to play for, but the only way that's happening is if its a relegation party.

Barnet should be ok this Sat - we never ever get the better of Westley no matter who he's managing - its driving us insane!

We're 11 points clear now and with our GD it's pretty much as good as an extra point. I think we'll be easily ok.

While I think we will be ok, i wouldn't be complacent with the run-in we have. After next Saturday we play the entire top half, bar Crawley, and I certainly wouldn't want to be dragged back in to the thick of the scrap and needing anything much going in to our last 6 of Coventry, Luton, Wycombe, Notts County, Mansfield and Lincoln.

HUge win for us today, got a lucky break for the goal in how the free kick fell nicely for Miller, but he put it away emphatically. Our issues are still very much there, we still look short of goals in attack, but thats hardly surprising when Kirk and Bowery keep playing. But we deserved the win, Colchester started well but created nothing in the 2nd half, looked more toothless than us, which is hard to do.

Given we've now got 2 promotion contenders in Exeter and Lincoln coming up, we badly needed that 3 points. Should keep us out of the relegation zone until FGR at home to open March.

Silly tactics from Westley today. I can't see us ever scoring more than one goal a game under him.

Shame as we're playing well but our game management is poor and that comes from the top.

That could be what keeps you guys in the league.
The form guide doesn't read well for you at all.
Sounded like exactly the same again today, start decent but then concede, then implode.

Also Vernon giving the wanker sign to the fans and Sam Kelly laughing at them at the end, another harmonious week in the life of GTFC.

I feel sorry for Grimsby fans, things there must be bad.
I remember Lee Thorpe flicking the Vs at Halifax in 2002 when we going down tubes and only just stayed up, then went into administration, great times NOT!

That was a proper relegation dogfight win from us. No real quality at all, and Colchesterwere rubbish, but we got a scrappy goal and held on. Perfect for our needs.

The radio reckoned that was one of our worst displays for years, so I dread to think how awful the match must have been.

Our referee today, a Mr Huxtable, was a complete shithouse. Nearly approaching the size of a slim Matt Rhead, he lumbered about the pitch making every possible attempt to infuriate players and fans alike. Never known anything like it except from the usual performances of Kettle and Ward.

I implore everyone to watch the highlights and please, PLEASE (for the sake of my own sanity) tell me how Sweeney caused that penalty to be given. It was a shambolic decision and the team were rightly fuming. Unfortunately, his worst incident isn't on Sky's highlights at the moment - Akinde got full on smashed in the head by the goalkeeper who completely misjudged an attempted punch clearance. Play stopped with both down on the pitch, referee looks confused, lumbers over to the lino who presumably was too busy trying to work out the difference between an onside and an offside player to have seen the GK's murder attempt. Then the referee lumbers right over to the other side of the pitch to talk to the 4th official who must've been too pre-occupied with Westley asking to be called 'Medal-Winner like my kids call me' to have seen the incident. The referee then decides that this obviously couldn't be a penalty (I mean, that would just be too sensible for this oaf) so he gives a drop ball in a completely unrelated part of the pitch. Awful, awful performance.

As for us, we played great in the first half and the final 20 minutes. Pressed really well, totally deserved our goal and definitely should've come out winners. However, Westley for some reason decided to stick every player behind the halfway line for the first part of the second half and Accrington ran rings around us. The winger they brought on (Sousa?) looks a real player.

Just an annoying, frustrating day (but nice to see a semi-decent performance last for longer than 15 minutes from us)

That's what happened with us a few years ago. Finished on 47 points (maybe 48 CBA to look) and only stopped up as tranmere and Cheltenham were so bad. We lost every week but so did they.

Sometimes you can be extraordinarily shit and stay up quite comfortably in the end

Sweeney pushed the player in the back. Not hard, but enough for the striker to react. Showing his inexperience in playing at centre back.
