Have county played a good team yet?

Coventry, Accrington, Wycombe (a), Swindon, good enough for you?

As for our form being a 'fluke', since Nolan joined in January his record reads P29 W16 D5 L8. That's 53 points in 29 games, or 1.83 per game. One home defeat in 14. If it's a fluke, it's been going on a long time now.

But I agree it's too early, I've seen us top 3 after this point in the season and still go down (mostly recently under Derry 3 years ago, 3rd on October 25), but the signs are much better for us at the moment on and off the pitch. We've got Lincoln, Exeter and Mansfield in the space of a week next up, we'll see how we stand after that.

They'll be around the top 7, but I severely doubt top 3.
Really? They've continued where they left off last season and they've got a great squad. I predicted them to win the title and I still think they'll win it.

Why does anyone feel the need to justify their team to the troll WH_Stag. Just ignore the fucker.

Could be that WH Stag was referring to Newport :shifty:, as Moomin the Exeter fan reckons they'll make the play offs. As for Notts Co, they have 3 very tough games coming up, and we'll all see if they are indeed a changed lot from last season.

PS - I was thinking of starting the mid table thread, seeing we have the promotion and relegation threads up and running already. Good idea no? ;)

We won't beat Stags we never do this past decade. At least for the first time in a long time we won't be bullied by them, men against boys at times in the past. Now we are a big, bad and ugly bunch plenty of 6 footers and of course ayoungster who will tackle through a wall. Not seen such a strong fearless tackler at Notts for a long long time.

We should avoid a hammering this time, although once again we get offered a poxy away allocation, in the 3 sided meccano stadium .

I predict a 2-1 defeat , more concerned with the next two game TBH

If he's anything like he is against us, he and his staff won't shake your staff's hand if they lose and won't when they win either!

Evans and his ginger sidekick muppet do the same thing time and time again. Act like completes tools on the sideline for most of the 90 minutes, and then go on the local radio/Tv and praise the opposition manager and club to sickening extent. It's what he does when he's not eating .

With all the incest so rife in North Notts for so long now you really would think The Field Mill Stadium would be a lot fuller on a weekly basis nowadays, especially since the dream team of Radford / Evans teamed up.

Puzzling.

Him and Nolan seemed to get on pretty well when we played them for his first game back in January, but it was a pretty tedious 0-0 draw so that'll probably change if something controversial happens. He had nothing but nice things to say about us afterwards, either, which was a bit weird.

Not really thinking about that one yet, anyway. Lincoln on Saturday should be fun in itself, might be looking at getting on for 12,000 at Meadow Lane which will be great.

Not really: small town in a region of poverty, with amongst the highest prices to watch football in the bottom division, isn't the most healthy of combinations.

Surely that's something that Radford has got to look to sort out, for all of the good that he's doing otherwise? Couldn't believe that it's £12 for a kid at Field Mill when I sorted my ticket. They could get the train down to Notts, get in at ML and get some food and a bottle of pop or whatever for that.

Only hope for clubs like ours is trying to attract the next generation somehow.

But in Evans defence it's hard to shake someone's hand in the dugout when you're sat in the stand most weeks.

I don't like to back us so I'll say Luton followed by Fat Steve's Band and County.
Haven't seen any of them yet though so this is all pure speculation ☺

Given you beat us about every 1 in 10 games it's bound to happen at some stage

You're right, they do do the same thing time and again.

It's called promotion

We've raised this as fans for a good few seasons, Jacob, it seemingly falls on deaf ears.

They have introduced a family ticket for an adult and a kid for £18 which I think i's a fair deal - it's the those between 12-18ish or so that's the concern.

In reality, for kids/families in an area not rife with money the choice between division 4 football (which isn't always pretty, to be polite) and premiership football matches is an easy enough choice, we should be doing all we can to actively encourage them to attend, not the other way round, which seems to be the case just now.

It's been a long argued subject at Mansfield. The guy has performed wonders at the club, however, the Achilles heel of his tenure is undoubtedly the abject failure of trying to target the next generation.

The fans keep knocking but the club ain't listening, unfortunately.

Maybe he's seen the average teenager that was attending Field Mill when he arrived and he didn't want to encourage them to bring their mates#asbocity. Not a great image for the club.

Don't turn this into a Nottinghamshire thread.

Next three games are all tough and tbh with our good start id snap your hands off for 4 points but can easily see none

Exeter away on a Tuesday has home banker written all over it. We never beat Mansfield... Tough run
