SkySports reporting the owners weren't aboard, however someone was which will be tragic nevertheless.

Edit: BBC reporting the owner was indeed aboard. Not good.

German news magazine Der Spiegel claimed on Friday that leaked documents showed the reigning Premier League champions "systematically violated FFP rules for years" along with another top European club, and with the knowledge of a top UEFA official.

In a statement issued to Sky Sports News, City say they are not commenting on the materials in question and suggested the club may have either been hacked or had documents stolen.

"We will not be providing any comment on out of context materials purportedly hacked or stolen from City Football Group and Manchester City personnel and associated people," the club said. "The attempt to damage the club's reputation is organised and clear."

When asked what this revelation meant with regards to the Global Conspiracy Against Manchester City™ - unofficial club spokesman "Silkyman" smashed up his office in anger before repeating the word "rag" over and over again and falling into a deep sleep.

Manchester City exposed - Bending the rules to the tune of millions

For years now, the Manchester City football club has vehemently denied that its owner, the sheikh of Abu Dhabi, broke financial rules. But internal emails tell a different story, providing evidence of backdated contracts, illusory sponsoring payments and cavalier, "We can do what we want," business practices.

Catch more of this Silkybaiting story at...

http://www.spiegel.de/international...-rules-to-the-tune-of-millions-a-1236346.html

Tune in next week for...a remarkable story involving discrete, multimillion-pound donors to the British governing party, an Icelandic bank that went bust during the financial crisis and club executives' fears that Manchester City could ultimately come to be seen as the "global enemies of football." This story will be told in Chapter 2: The Secret Project Longbow.

They should have their title scrapped from 13/14 to give it to its rightful owners! ;)

Much like Calciopoli, the title will be stripped but unassigned like the 2004/05 Series A title.

this cannot be right. silky assured us everything was above board and all sponsorships were legitimate and definitely not massively inflated in order to justify spending all that blood money. that said, imo silky does have a great argument when he justifies the torture and murder of lowly sand people by pointing out manchester now has a new leisure centre.

Has anyone seen this? Own a Football Club.

Take a look, seems interesting as a hobby for PL and FL fans. Wondering if anyone on here knows more about it as I'm looking to get involved.

I thought this was just some dumb shit he said that wouldn't actually happen, but apparently it actually has legs. As small football clubs barely stay afloat, as ticket prices rise, as many clubs fail to pay a living wage, as food banks collect on match days they will find £250k each to give to someone who earns £2m a year.

I'm sure £250k to someone they feel a great deal of gratitude towards won't stop any Premier league club from helping out with the issues you've listed, should they want to.

Well despite reservations from some clubs (mainly the smaller ones..) the out going CEO is getting his 5 million...

And VAR is coming in next season - lets hope its used well and not like the chaos that it caused last season in the FA Cup etc.

I'm not suggesting that they can't afford to do both, I'm saying they should be doing those things before looking for £250k to give to a rich man. If they want to show him gratitude, get him a thank you card.

Is the standard of refereeing in this league at an all-time low? (Look at last weekend alone), or are the bad decisions just getting highlighted more and more due to the amount of coverage?

Because I don’t really like VAR from watching a few of the European leagues, MLS and the Chinese Super League (I was bored during the summer). It did make the World Cup fun, but then that was due to penalties being awarded all round.

So, although it will be the course of action they take to try and remedy the current issues, I’d rather they just tried to train the referees/lines people better.

Well ofcouse VAR can only advise an official - doesn't mean they will change their decisions ..
