All I can say is I'm gaining a lot of respect for Wolves, terrific result for the men in gold, they are going to be a force this season...

We're going along quite well. All of the so called experts are predicting us to lose (look at Mark Lawrenson predicting us to lose every week). We'll keep going under the radar and then who knows.

How Conor Coady and Ryan Bennett haven't been called up for the England squad whilst players like Chalobah and Tarkowski have on current form is an absolute travesty.

The problem is even I think they are just successes of our system. Although I'd imagine given the role he plays for us that Southgate might have an interest in Coady if he keeps this form up. I didnt think he'd make the step up. Still one of the most important parts of our entire system.

Giddy times.

He's the only English CB who plays in the middle of a back 3 playing in the Premier League (same back 3 formation as England have been playing). Part of a defence that has conceded 2 goals in his last 8 games (one each to Man Utd and Man City). On form he's playing as well as any centre back in Europe never mind the PL. Southgate should be all over that.

Desperately wanted Liverpool to retain Coady ,he was always the pick of the players coming through the academy and imo his performances justified his inclusion in the first team but our former incumbent couldn't even find a place for the most consumate defender we had at the club in Dan Agger so that kind of lends to the reason why the kid left.

Yeah, seemed strange that Liverpool got rid of him when they did, especially as it was on the cheap. He was captain of the England under 18's/19's/20's whilst at Liverpool too.

I'll be honest nobody at Wolves really rated him when we signed him as a midfielder, but since Nuno turned him into a CB in the heart of a back three he has been a revelation. The fact that Wolves fans, and a lot of general English football fans/pundits are confused to why he wasn't called up is testament to how he's come on as a defender.

Sometimes a players conversion to a position he is best suited to happens simply by accident
but I'm not surprised it was instigated by Santo ,he seems like a manager who imbues the confidence in his players to take the risks to induce more fluent and inventive passages of football.

Santo is without doubt an astute manager and the style of play Wolves have demonstrated thus far shows he's unswervingly loyal to his belief on how football should be played. I like him !
