You could almost write the script for that, I never thought for a second that Spurs wouldn't somehow score. Unfortunate for Palace. Keeper should have saved it.

Considering Palace's start, they've done bloody well to be in a position where a few unfortunate results puts them on the brink relegation zone rather than actually in it.

I think when they get a few players back, they'll be ok over the last 10 games. It'll be tight but there are 3 worse teams definitely.

Brilliant Tottenham, couldn't be sweeter to have the Palace fans on tenterhooks to the very end before crushing their hopes. They cheer on their sh*t team regardless of how they are playing. Fair enough they fielded a weakened side today, but nonetheless they were poor to say the least and offered nothing in the second half. So why cheer them on as though they are Brazil (with the annoying constant drumming)?
Palace fans, there is no merit, nothing creditable in eulogising a turd. Just something I had to get off my chest. Thank you.

No mate, the point I was making was the bovine chanting and cheering from the Palace fans is constant regardless of how well or how poorly they are playing. It ceases to be "support" that can lift a team during a game and becomes nothing more than constant background noise.
Like any form of entertainment, the team's performance should be judged on merit, and sometimes players deserved to be booed off the pitch. That isn't disloyalty, it just shows a degree of discernment and honesty. I'm not saying Palace deserved to be booed off yesterday, just that they didn't deserve to be constantly cheered like they were heroes to a man playing out of their skin; they weren't. Just saying mate, Palace are in danger of going down this season, no doubt cheered on all the way into the Championship by their fans? As long as we pick up Zaha for a song as they drop a division...

I agree with that point, I've seen it in german football where they sing the same monotone song for a good 10 minutes, it literally does just become dull background noise.
