My boy David Florence going for gold in the Canoe Slalom later this evening. Won silver in the C2 in London, hope he can go one better in the C1 at 7:15

I am surprised at the lack of love for the Olympics on 1FF.

So far I've watched Hockey, Rugby 7s, Swimming, Athletics, Diving, Archery, Boxing, Judo, Fencing. Possibly some others I've forgotten!

I reckon we might get a medal in the men's synchonised 3m diving, which is currently underway.

Sure did - gold!

A very good day for team GB which might get better with Max Whitlock 3rd in that Gymnastics and the rugby 7s.

Excellent evening.

Watched the golds in the kayak, diving and the bronze in the gymnastics (last two rotations anyway), and it was brilliant. Especially chuffed for Joe Clarke, bit of luck for the Slovak to get a penalty but who's complaining ;) Diving gold is supreme as well, and a first gymnastics medal in that individuals for 108 years.

Agree with Max, absolutely love the Olympics, surprised there's not been more threads/activity on here.

Spent most my time watching the archery and then a bit of swimming so far. In archery our female representative Naomi Folkard is through to the last 16 having won her first two matches which included beating the #10 seed in straight sets and is on in about an hour. Patrick Huston our male archer was knocked out last night in the second round by the #2 in the world, however he did beat the world #7 from Netherlands who came 4th in 2012 in the first round.

I love the Olympics too, all I've done this week apart from going to work has been watch it. Watched loads of things that I'd never normally take an interest in - canoeing, diving, gymnastics, fencing, judo, table tennis - that's the best part of it. The forum's been broken most of the week (at least it has for me) so that might explain the lack of discussion.

Silver in the C2 with Florence/Hounslow. Slightly cleaner and it could have been a gold.

Track cycling and Rugby 7s finals.

Might see 2/3 golds in a few minutes!

I'm very surprised at the lack of posts in this section. I love watching the Olympics and have done since 1976. I'll watch any event apart from boxing which I hate. Sitting here at gone 1am watching the athletics.

After football, multi sports events such as the Olympics, Paralympics and Commonwealth Games are the ones that get my attention.

I've been too busy watching it all and staying up for far too long into the early hours to post anything!! loving it all at the moment though, still the greatest rowing nation and I'm sure we'll be top of the track cycling as well.
Mens synchro 3m diving the biggest surprise so far for gold, hope a few more surprises can be added to the gold haul.

Something very bad happened during the judo competitions. An Egyptian athlete refused to shake hands with an Israeli one, then Serbian athletes refused to watch the prizegiving of the Kosovar judoka who had won the golden medal. In 2016 people hasn't learned yet to separate policy from sport.

Del Porto just beaten Nadal in a classic - through to the final against Murray.

Another gold and world record in the cycling - Laura's Trott 3rd good medal.

Having Golf in the Olympics is a great idea!

Delighted for Justin. He took it so seriously and really embraced the Olympics when everyone else was thinking of an excuse to stay away.

What a day for Max Whitlock! Feel a bit sorry for Louis Smith missing out again, but a British one-two is incredible.

And we're up to second in the medal table with more medals guaranteed tonight.

I get the feeling Whitlock and Smith don't get on particularly well?

Cavendish was a lucky boy not to be disqualified for that crash last night.

Speedway riders must watch that and be so jealous. Just wipe someone out, put him out the race, knock a load more down and carry on as normal.

Fantastic Jason Kenny. A farce of a race but a powerful performance.
