No idea. I doubt County or Lincoln fans have ever had pay on the day at Mansfield.

EDIT - I've obviously forgotten about the Checkatrade game where, yes, it was made pay on the day/night after initially being all ticket. Couldn't tell you whether it was cash turnstiles or whether you had to buy from the ticket office.

Can someone please confirm if one can buy a ticket at FM on the day? I know this was the case last year but perhaps things have changed this season. Only asking for my dear cuz who will only know if he can make a late dash for the game on Saturday morning. Thanks.

I know this is not the Mansfield match thread but hopefully you Imps and Pies wouldn't mind me asking on here.

I think they have an all ticket policy for away fans.

What's the pub situation around Nottingham station going to be like? Do Notts police freak out and shut all the pubs when a half decent away following shows up? We get in at 11.30 en route to Mansfield and had planned to have a few before there before reluctantly heading off to Field Mill.

Nah, they're usually relatively relaxed about any game other than the Mansfield one. That said it is a sort of derby that hasn't been played for a few years, but I doubt you'd have any bother.

What kind of place are you looking for? There's plenty around the station but with such a big away following/crowd expected i imagine lots will already be really busy by half eleven.

If Brisley is out for Saturday that's a big loss IMO. Not only has he been very impressive for Notts this season, just what we've lacked in recent times, but he would handle Rhead (if he plays) with relative ease IMO.

The thought of Hewitt up against Rhead aerially / physically is a worry, surely if needed Hollis would be better against the big non League man ?!

Website at Mansfield says only advanced tickets for away fans, but everyone knows you can buy a ticket from office on the day.

Best is to phone, pay and reserve after 10am before setting off 01623 482 482

We normally end up in the Canalhouse, don't want to wander far so will just skulk off to Mansfield with some tinnies if the Imps are delaying our drinking.

Canalhouse should be okay but i'd be tempted to give the whole waterfront area a miss - if the police are going to try and keep the Lincoln fans in one place it'll be there.

I'd go to the Vat and Fiddle, one minute from the station, cheap/good beer and more of a home pub so shouldn't get busy until a bit later and will attract a more relaxed crowd anyway.

Cracking pub is the vat and fiddle was in there before going to the test back in July, not sure if my daughter will be allowed in though?
Meant to be meeting my mates for a quick one pre-match as they're going over earlier than me and are meeting there.

We were told at a fans forum with Radford 2 weeks ago that you can get one on the day mate.

I’ll be in the VAT about 12, although I am travelling on past Mansfield to Shirebrook for my Long Eaton United’s, FA Vase game.

I was caught in split minds on which game to go to Notts or LE, LE won but I could still change my mind on the day!

With 4000 Lincoln and our usual gate of 6000 it shouldn't be less than 10000 as a starting figure. Throw in those who pick and chose their games and 11500 seems very realistic.

Someone im on Twitter reckons the Notts site shows they have sold 9000. If that's the case the attendance will be pushing 15000.

15,000!!! No chance, can't see that happening for this game! We are playing Lincoln City not Leicester City! lol
Using last season as a guide, 11328 vs Stags, and 12,184 vs Champions elect Pompey , would suggest with the huge away support visiting that something around those levels is realistic at this stage of the season.

I think we are about 50 short of selling out, so 4300 Imps.

Nah, just had a look and it suggests we've sold just over 7,000. Add in a few hundred on the day and it'll be somewhere around 12,000.

That is if our online ticketing shambles is actually working, which I wouldn't entirely trust.

You're welcome to stay in Nottingham if the trip is that tedious for you.

It's got to be Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, surely? Our claim to the world's oldest pub, less than a 10 minute walk from the station in the shadow of Nottingham Castle. Great ale and a fascinating pub built into the huge sandstone rock the castle sits on.

Should be more US tourists than Lincoln fans, who I imagine will be corralled to the Waterfront or Hooters. Dry up here so can sit or stand outside too.

The Trip is massively overrated for me. Too expensive for what it is - more of a tourist attraction than a good pub.

Notts are 9/5 to win today, am I missing something before I put my house on it?

I wouldn't put your house on it and I wouldn't be hugely shocked if we lose but it's definitely good value - there's no way that Lincoln should be favourites with our home record this year and start to the season.

Lot of Lincs in VAT pre-game. Also heard their will be a “football special” train from Notts back to Lincoln. Been years since I heard that! Fair play to the imps!
I’m on my way to Shirebrook having got a lift home. Good luck Notts!
