Grantham Town's Lee Shaw who scored 29 goals last season is currently training with Lincoln City FC.
Good to see that although Lincoln have a reported 2 and a half million in the bank, they're still doing it the right way in trying to develop young, local non-league prospects.

Went to Staly on sat taking the wee’un with me for first time.

Drab game lacking chances, mickleover were just a bunch of thugs.

Staly look good at the back but toothless up front with one lone stranded forward at home.......that needs worked on.

Work in progress but suppose building from back is the best start

Yeah fantastic for the lad, packed his job in as a factory worker. And ended up at Chesterfield on a 2-year contract with the option of a third year.

He thanked Lincoln City for the opportunity they gave him while on trial with them.

Gutted for my 'second team' Scarborough Athletic couldn't hang on to a 2 goal lead tonight. Matlock levelled in the last minute despite being reduced to ten men minute earlier. The seadogs will be disappointed with that but 4 points is a great start.

They certainly threw that game away after taking the lead after 2 minutes through Wayne Brooksby, and then doubling the lead after the interval on 46 minutes through Ex-Darlo striker James Walshaw. All the same not a bad start in this division.

Do you know whether this is permanently or a loan? can't see anything about it.

Edit - permanent, he got released.

Cracking game at Staly last night, very very energetic performance from Staly who totally dominated the first half playing at a frantic pace for the level.........manager seems to have worked hard on effort and energy in the team.

Very harsh half time shoreline, Staly dominated and grabbed two early goals setting tone of half and should have scored more before a mistake let Marine through to score.

Goal knocked stuffing out of Staly for a while giving Marine some chances to get back in a game became open and even.

Staly grabbed a vital third then looked comfortable until a weak looking pen got Marine close and led to a tight finish with both having chances for more goals.

Little mistakes meant hard work for a comfortable win, but extremely enjoyable game with lots of chances.

Credit also the Marine away support about 40-50 fans for a club that size on a Tuesday night was very good.......seen many FL sides take less to Carlisle midweek

Hard solid win for Staly against a decent looking Workington.

First half was even, second half at first was dominated by Workington, but they shoved a dangerous amount of players forward leaving lack of cover at back and usually defenders having to deal on own.......backfired as we scored on break and could have got more through same breaks.

Sending off killed them and was comfortable. They need more going forward but defence seems very strong.

With South Shields surprisingly messing it all up it has left league wide open

Some fantastic crowds among those results on Bank Holiday Monday.

I suppose result of the day was at North Ferriby with their 3-0 win against South Shields, and the unbelievable attendance of 1,976 for the North Yorkshire derby game at Scarborough against Whitby.

Good to see Liam Hardy scoring today for Buxton, with the first match on the new Greenfields MX pitch.

Saw the Ferriby result, surprised me too, guess all isn't yet lost up there
