Jason Walker bagged another 2 for Workington - but starts his 3 match ban for his sending off after this match

Not a bad start for Jason Walker puts him on 5 goals for the season - shame he's ruined it with a 3 match ban like.

I think i am going for the ‘following the most toothless sides in football’ supporter award this season.

Staly are even more lacking going forward than Curzon and didn’t think that possible.........,,,at least Curzon have a plan of attack but just lack quality to pull it off due to finances.

Staly seems to be one up front aimless lump in wild hope one out of ten whacks may land to said player.

It is a shame as they have a superb back line and goalie and base there of a solid team..............maybe they just suffer currently from having a totally new 16 man squad

It's good to see Scarborough doing well as i've always had a soft spot for them. Tough away game at Gainsborough next tuesday.

I see Warrington are beginning to pick up, decent side, with a few big (for this level) names in their squad

They just fell short last season Warrington, they shouldn't be too far away again this season with some decent signings on the pay roll in their squad.

Who is bank-rolling all this? It won't be happening on gates of 200.

Warrington Town chairman Toby Macormac said last season after he brought in 11 new signings that his aim of reaching the Football League by 2020 is getting trickier by the year.

I think that was assuming if they won the league last season? He's clearly ambitious but it won't be 2020.

Warrington is a massive town but there's just no appetite or interest for a football team there. It's the strangest town in the UK when it comes to football. A population of over 200,000, mainly full of warped Mancs and Scousers but bar the local boozers showing the big four clubs from those two cities, Warrington Wolves RL will always be king in that part of the World and they aren't being knocked off their lofty perch.

Seems this Chairman at Warrington is a Poundland Dave Whelan. It worked for Whelan because of the new stadium, owning both sports clubs and the fact that bankrolling teams was a fairly new concept when he took over Wigan in 1995. But Warrington have missed the boat a long time ago. Too many others do it now and, if less than 0.1% of the town's population are watching the side, then it won't be successful no matter how much money you put into the club to bankroll it.

Thanks Darlo. They don't come across as a bank-rolled team even though they clearly are. Even their moderate success does not seem to have lit a fire under potential supporters (rugby town near masses of other teams). We played them in our first game as a reformed club in 2010 and their ground was very basic. I wonder if he's invested any money there.

Another bad result for Staly who are on a bad run.

They are inept going forward, I think big issue was bringing an entire new squad and it will take months to gel.

They will just have to dig in points wherever they can for now

Takes a bit of time when a lot of new faces appear at the club, especially with the amount of player's Staly brought in during the summer.

Then again Whitby are no mugs.

No Burr failed miserably on a large budget last season but the Staly fans put no pressure on him because of his past records there.

He left for Stafford in summer, Staly were left. to a 40% wage budget cut and had to get rid of the entire squad (mind since they finished about 3rd bottom it’s no big loss)

Had to bring in maybe 15 plus players so far, miles more than anyone else with new management team........it shows as they can be solid but have no attack flow or teamwork at all

Brodie, 31, has left the club, apparently he got sent off for a second bookable offence against Marine on Saturday, having only come on as a late substitute.

Carden the Warrington manager said that's him done. Richard Brodie's left us. He said he wanted to play more football

Don’t see Staly game on tomorrow been horrific rain.

Even if they had a good rep of getting game on would doubt it let alone with their track record

Will be interesting seeing how Josh Solomon-Davies fares at Stalybridge. Another Rovers youngster who's dropped down the leagues for a deal.
