Chris Lynch has been released from his Altrincham contract.

A club statement said "He has struggled to get his fitness because of certain injuries he has been fighting and we have made the decision together that the best thing moving forward is for us to part company now.

All at Altrincham FC wish Chris all the best in his future career and a quick recovery from his injuries"

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Even with sentiment involved i think burr cannot have much longer at Staly if this carries on.

Thought they made a massive error last season when they dumped their ex Ashton United management team without giving them a chance.....they inherited a terrible team, did very little in terms of wins, but had stopped the mass run of defeats and were on a solid drawing run when they got ousted due to sentiment.....they were slowly building their team when suddenly a mass of changes again.

although i think something is curse at Stalybridge at present i think in last 12 months they have had 3 sets of good, solid espeblished management teams who have all done well elsewhere yet arrive and fail miserably.

Missed yesterday's game, so not much to say. That's the first time Altrincham have won 2 consecutive league games since November 2015.

Popped along to watch Lancaster today. A fairly comfortable 1-0 win against Stalybridge, and my first game below VNL level. They have a tidy little setup, I'll be back!

Whitby Town have transferred list striker Mikey Roberts.
The 26-year-old former Guisborough Town and Spennymoor Town hot-shot was told he could leave the Turnbull Ground.

Signed in July 2015 for an undisclosed fee, the highly rated marksman netted 24 goals in his maiden season. Before that he topped the scoring charts at the Moors in EVO-STIK League North with 20 goals.

Could still be a decent signing especially for a club struggling to find the net this season.
I wonder if we end up showing a little bit of interest in requiring his services now that Fenwick has gone?

Buxton boss Martin McIntosh is backing Liam Hardy to be the top striker in the EVO-STIK League.

McIntosh hailed the 27-year-old as the best forward outside of National League North on Tuesday after his hat-rick at Ashton United on Bank Holiday Monday propelled the Bucks to a 4-1 win in the EVO-STIK League's top flight.

His goals took his tally to six so far. The Buck's boss said: "He's head and shoulders for me the best striker in the league.

I liked Liam Hardy when he was at Darlo, I always remember his winning goal at Grantham. Especially when we heard Blyth we're getting beat at the time.

Neil Tooth's short reign as Hednesford Town manager ended on Wednesday night when he became the first managerial casualty of the 2017-18 EVO-STIK League season.

I suppose the defeat on Saturday in the Emirates FA Cup against Boston Town in the First Qualifying Round will have been the final straw.

I don't think they'll have much joy on Saturday either, playing Stourbridge at home.
Since they beat Nantwich on the opening day of the season. They've lost the last six league games.

Ashton United and Colne's games were postponed yesterday due to waterlogged pitches, and 2 other games in the league were halted for a time due to heavy rain.
