Tough one to predict, but we're yet to lose on our travels. Cobblers have had a precedented upturn in form since JFH arrival. Pre-season, I tipped them to be up there - they do have a decent squad of players.

I imagine our team will remain unchanged;

GK: Colin Doyle

RB: Tony McMahon
CB: Nat Knight-Percival
CB: Matthew Killgallon
LB: Adam Chicksen

RCM: Romain Vincelot
DCM: Jake Reeves
LCM: Nicky Law

RW: Alex Gilliead
CF: Charlie Wyke
LW: Dominic Poleon

There's absolutely no reason for us to not go down there and pick up 3 points, but I'd be happy with a point.

Prediction: 2-2

Att; 6738 (1000 City).

We have definitely shown signs of improvement under JFH. We still cant seem to perform over 90 minutes though which is obviously a big concern.

Crooks is back from his one game ban so imagine he will come back in.

Expecting a team along the lines of

Ingram
Moloney Barnett Taylor Buchanan
Crooks Grimes Kasim Powell
Long Revell

None of that matters anyway as we are playing Bradford and we lose to you EVERY time.

As long as we survive the first 27 minutes without conceding three...:bl:
I know, the scar still runs deep...

We do have a fabulous recent record against the Cobblers so we do seem to have the Indian sign over them currently.

There will of course be no Wells or Hanson playing who both loved this fixture and of course the game at Wembley was about a one sided affair as you could imagine. Never have i been more relaxed watching an important Bradford City match than i was at H/T that day.

I still think this will be 1 goal either way and after the recent improvement in the Cobblers thanks to the new manager i wouldn't be a massive shock if we lost.

I think we may sneak it 2-1 though.

I couldn't relax at Wembley until the 87th minute. I still thought we'd fuck it up somehow.

Shit game but as ever Northampton put on a nice spread and give us the 3 points. We'll give you a nice cuppa in a couple of months, in return for another 3.

Couldn't have complained at 0-0, poor atmosphere from both sides and poor game. But a moment of magic separated the teams.

2 home games next week hopefully we can really kick on now, we've already blown my September prediction out of the water.

Huffed and puffed our way through that, and it was tense at times.

Cobblers went all out, and ensured that all of their tallest players were at some point involved in the action. Not to say they were one-dimensional, but very physical.

We failed to implement our passing game, which is generally our strength - but they may feel that they were worthy of a point. However, that being said, Colin Doyle didn't really have a save to make.

We seem to be able to grind out wins, when in recent seasons it would've been nailed on draw/loss.

We entertain Fleetwood at VP on Tues, and we could go top.

Happy Days!

I do think we were good point for a point, considering that your goal came from a free kick given for a cracking tackle from Moloney. Second half we were pretty dominant (after Bradford were better in the first) and we blew two huge chances to level things up. Bradford were unsurprisingly pretty content to sit back and soak up the pressure and they did so.

We're a striker and a winger short, can't imagine someone like Wyke missing the chances Richards/Revell missed today, and as has been said the superb free kick which really shouldn't have been given won the game.

It's been a tough run of games to start the season and I think we've shown enough that we'll start collecting points against the weaker sides in the division.

As always I'd rather play meh and get three points than play well and get a point which we did plenty at the start of last season and probably cost us an auto spot.
