We will have a £4m budget, but surely that’s not in the bottom quartile.
Thanks for the reply Kenny.

It's just that you said that 'We WILL have a £4m budget'.

Other people will quote that figure on here and elsewhere, and use it to attack us, but really it's just your guesswork.

No need to answer again, you've already answered my original question by not answering it.

Why would it be attacked? I think Shrewsbury have proven that size of budget means bugger all and unless you can match the spending power of Blackburn and Wigan this season there are no guarantees, stop being paranoid

Apologies did not mean to spark offence.

Just looking to nip the “Luton fans think X (usually that we think we’ll piss it)” type generalisations as it’s gets a little tiresome over the season.

Completely agree. Our comments about our chances vary from mid table to perhaps sneaking a play off spot which has resulted in the following comments.

They have just been promoted to League One behind Accy but so many of their fans seem to be confident of the play offs as a minimum.

Are Luton going to be the new Oldham this season, going on about the playoffs until they realise they’re shit?

These comments are uncalled for and don't represent the views of the Luton posters on here. You could even say its an incorrection assumption that Luton fans are arrogant about their chances next season. Unfortunately this is a pattern we've seen before and one that quite rightly pisses us off. In fact I'd say the events of the last 10 years has taught us that you can never take anyting for granted in this game. We are generally very cautious about our chances ahead of a new season.
Anyway I'll apologise to the gills fan (The last Waltz) for my comments. You will find the Luton fans on here a good knowledgeable and modest bunch, mostly :bg:

Hopefully our friends from Gillingham and Bradford are just fishing. If not then I fear literacy levels in these two parts of the country need to improve significantly,
What's literacy got to do with calling out some of your arrogant fans?

I was fishing btw, but some was truth, as we saw similar posts from Oldham fans last season, so it's become a bit of a joke on here.

I haven't made any assumptions, incorrect or otherwise.
A Gills fan merely posted a genuine enquiry re Luton fans' expectations this season and this was then followed by a totally unnecessary and childish response calling Gills and Bradford fans illiterate.
Sorry, but this rather pissed me off.
And totally irrelevant, I can't find a connection between what we said and how it makes us illiterate.

I think the illiterate comment was far more uncalled for than a bit of banter tbf, nothing wrong with your fans been confident. But if you put your heads above the para-pit people will have a go, part of the attraction of this forum is debate and banter, rather than everyone kissing each others teams backside.

Call our teams shite all you won't us and Gillingham will more than likely be shit this season, but no need to get personal.

This is exactly why you are a Sky Sports club. No lower league fan would say something like that. You definitely support 2 teams

Is thinking we are a run of the mill mid table League 1 side with a potential outside shot of having a play off chance but likely to fall short, being "confident" and "putting your head above the para-pit" though?

Just think its a little odd if it is, seems a rather dull and mediocre ambition to have!

Ignore him lad. Luton will finish above that Sky Sports family club Bradford. He supported another club a few years ago so the “Prem attitude” isn’t surprising - it’s also why their fans sit down at away games

Not exactly what some of your fans said though, highly ambitious board and going for top 6 was said. I'll leave it there as the suns out and I've got better things to be doing.

Nah been going since 96, seen us in all 4 divisions, unlike you I suspect. When was the last time you went to a Coventry game, in the championship?

Anyway bore off, you are obsessed with us, Coventry mean nothing to a Bradford fan. Some of your lot seem to have given yourselves a strange rivalry with us since Pep Pressley called us a dark age team. Yawn.

The illiterate comment was aimed at your inability to read and understand our comments. If you take it personally thats your problem. You still don't understand though do you with the "nothing wrong in your fans being confident" comment. Or maybe that's also banter. :dk:

Literally no one said that, thats where the "cant read" jibes came in....which fair may have over step the bounds for you so apologies.

Even Kenneth said Top 10 was decent!

As I said it was tongue in cheek, maybe I'll have to change my posting style if we have a new set of fans as precious about their team as the Preston and Brentford lot.

Why does every Bradford fan say they’ve been going since they were young? We met about 12 of them at their gaff and each of them say the exact same thing, it’s weird.

Are they the new Manchester United ‘yeah I’ve been a Man U fan since they were sh*t I’m not a glory hunter honest’ type of fans?

Yeah massive glory supporting a team who have spent the last 14 years in the bottom two tiers. The Coventry WUM seems to think I support two teams and just watch football on Sky Sports just correcting him, not sure what it's got to do with you like?

If anyone supports a league one team they're not a fucking glory hunter.
It's the only reason I support such a massive team mate, following them around the country whilst in the bottom 2 tiers. Plenty of glory going to Torquay with 200 other fans, we were only there for the glory of staying in league 2.

Maybe not word for word, but seem to remember Kenneth saying something about already recruited for league 1 last season, and will have a top 6 budget with one of the best boards in the country.

I've no problem with a set of fans been confident, actually prefer it too what you see with some who constantly call their club shit. But I just remembered Oldham fans talking about going for playoffs last season, so thought it was worth a bit of banter. You'll probably end above us like.

Getting called a glory hunter, don’t know whether to take it as an insult or a compliment.

Don’t cry Bradford fans we had the same problem when we came out the conference. Every man and his dog was saying they were Donny through and through, there through the dark times while they used their long sleeve t-shirts to cover up their Leeds tattoos.

Just amuses me, not as much as the internet phenomena of every Man Utd fan somehow being from Manchester does but amusing all the same.

Jesus Christ fancy supporting another club then pretending you’re Bradford all over when the ticket prices go down.

I feel sorry for the genuine Bradford fans having to sit amongst the sky sports day trippers and that is saying something considering how dire of a club/city Bradford actually are.

Bantams, when the prices eventually go back up will it be back to Manchester United or will you be going for City this time?
