The moment you concede in the 97th minute when you think you’ve ended a FIFTEEN game run without a win.

Excellent

Much improved on Tuesday, we actually looked like a team capable of winning the league today. Luke Summerfield and Paul Rutherford were immense.

The chairman Dave Allen signed Martin Allen personally, so he'll see him in a job till the bitter end

Twitter and the forums want Bates sacked. I don't. I don't know if he'll get it right or not but it's clearly not working. I knew the Sutton defeat, the nature of it would affect confidence. Great we can play 352, have an extra body in midfield, have 80% possession but if you do nothing with it then it means nowt. No threat at all, boring to watch. Home crowds are moving to tinpot levels. Who can blame people for staying away? I almost didn't go to the Sutton game. Tired of relentless shite. We used to be solid, the goals today are a fucking shambles. We gifted them all 4 on a plate, they had 4 shots all game. Confidence is shot. We're down 3 defenders for the cup next week, tin hats needed. I'll always support Pools but fucking hell we don't half make life hard for ourselves.

We can change owners, managers, players, shirts, badges, food kiosks, it doesn't seem to matter, cos we are CURSED.

Our second defeat of the season. Well done Leyton Orient, look a good side as I thought they would. I thought it was good game in difficult conditions. I think we’re probably 2 or 3 players short of being right up there. Results elsewhere favourable really

Worst performance of the season, way worse than any of the dross served up when we had about 4 1/2 fit players. Genuinely terrible - absolutely tonked at home by a Maidstone team who are probably sill wondering if today was all a dream - that’s how easy it was for them. The fact that our fans were chanting for Sweeney to come on says it all. Just an awful day.

Hats off to Maidstone away support today - done their team proud.

I think today was one step closer to Barnet FC dying. Give it 3/4 years and we won’t exist.

I was sat at home games last season watching us lose regularly and saying to anyone that would listen that we were cursed after at least 3 seasons of dross. Had those exact feelings man, it will change. At least you are comfortable in league position and are beginning to move forward, frustrating as it is.

Yeah we were great in parts today. Thought the midfield three of Walker, Summerfield and Young were all excellent. A very good midfield 3 with them together

We've been CURSED for a lot longer than 3 seasons, we're now into our 10th season of CURSEDNESS.

Well 6 of the last 10 seasons have been in League One, however, the time we were denied our rightful promotion to the Championship with a dodgy penner in 2005 was the clincher for me. So I'm going with 13 years.

Compare that to our last 10, all have been spent in this hell hole.

No, you're just Hartlepool. Like we're just Halifax. Some clubs are destined for life at the top- Arsenal will soon have done a full hundred years in the top division, Everton have only ever spent 4 years out of it- some are just destined to be shit. Give us a hug, brother. :69::woot:

Yeah to be fair I think you have to go some to lay claims to be more cursed than Wrexham. That is a record that gives me chills as a former a league club. I would honestly not complain if we lost out to Wrexham, you guys are long overdue. It's losing to the big evil that concerns me more or as said being shithoused in the playoffs

To be fair we've only been close twice in those 10 years and we were money'd out of it both times.

Hope it's your year, it's well deserved, but if you do go up, the effect on the Brotherhood dynamic would be SEISMIC

I keep seeing comments like that but I must have missed why?

Well we're at our lowest point in our 100+ year history, whilst you and your boys are at your highest peak in your short history, so not really comparable but I appreciate the effort!

Our new manager has rebuilt most of the team in the last few weeks, while imposing a new system and fitness levels. Hasn't always worked, but this result was coming sooner or later. There is a real optimism about the place now. Just hope opponents keep underestimating us based on our league position.

Barring a 20min spell when Rowes goal made it 1-1 and we had to ajust to losing Charlie Lee in midfield, I thought we deserved the win and defended very well.

Bad day at the office it seemed for Fylde - Bad defending for all three goals although Koroma may have handled the ball and pushed the defender for the first goal...........

Conditions got worse with that wind in the second half, which helped us as we seemed to be kicking with it.

Lost Charlie Lee who injured his knee, huge blow if he is out for a while as he is such an engine in the middle of the park for us.

Our game at Wrexham in three weeks is gonna be a stormer.............
