Think for Tranmere tonight it's a 'must not lose' match because if we do, then pretty sure that's the title gone. I think we're a better side than Macc but they have great spirit and unity. Will be a tough match but confident of getting the result. Going 2-1 Rovers.

I've been really impressed with Blissett. He's quick too for a big lad and Tranmere's pitch is HUGE so could have the beating of FatNulty.
Is our pitch big? I thought we had quite a small pitch tbh. I've had a quick look online, and most in the league seem to be the same size or bigger. Leyton Orient's is a full 8m wider.

I remember a stat from 2001 when we played Everton, we had the joint smallest pitches in the football league back then. Not sure how that would translate to this league but certainly not massive.

For what it's worth, I seem to recall a number of opposition managers commenting on the fact that our pitch is long but very narrow. We're also stuck with it, as there is literally no room either side to adjust it.

Ours is 102m x 65m. Macclesfield's is 100m x 60m. By way of comparison, Leyton Orient's is 105m x 73m.

Either way, there is only a few metres in it, unnoticeable in normal play I'd imagine.

It's bigger than what we normally play on. Probably because our pitch is one of the smallest in the division. It's 6m narrower than yours so it must be 14m narrower than Orient's.

They're about the same length, but we have more girth. Not sure what's more important tbh. Anyway, it's what you do with it that counts.

Mass panic in birkenhead, allegedly there is a blue lion on the rampage!! Its heading towards the prenton district as we speak, all gunslingers have been ordered to assemble at 745 . Police have informed locals that its aggressive when attacking however its defences can be breached and its last line of defence is pretty poor!

Supposedly a pack of 200 or so mini lions will be enclosed in the cowshed to encourage the blue lion to attack as many rover dogs as it can... we need as many people as possible to ward off this attack, they will be lead by a cook who has a special recipe for taming lions and his able deputy a to(i)llett who pisses on Anything threatening our territory.....CMON WHITE MEN

I rubbished your (I think it was you) claim a few weeks ago that you could go down. Few more losses and you'll be right in it! Hey, at least if you go down you'll still have the play off final victory over us! ;)
I've ended up betting on us going down, that's just how little faith i have at the moment. Still surprisingly good odds available as well (25/1)....just wish i had jumped on it when we were 50/1

I dunno whether our manager has lost the dressing room or most of the players just don't give a shit, but something has gone seriously wrong.

Blimey. Two very tough games next up for you too. I think you'll still pick up another 2-3 wins perhaps, should be enough.

Hope it's the latter. Got a lot of time for Saunders. Although, both scenarios would paint a pretty bleak picture!

Will be interesting to see if we can make it two wins in a row tonight. If we are to escape relegation then I think we'll need this win to develop a positive (and confident) mindset going into the next couple of months, rather than simply gaining three points over another possible relegation candidate.
I was very surprised to see Chester win 3 1 at the weekend, which doesn't bode particularly well for us, that said, Chester were one of the poorest sides I;ve seen this season, the linesman awarding a goal which didn't cross the line being enough to see the 2 sides to a 2 - 2 draw.

We are much improved since then, 7 points from the last 3 league games, and unbeaten on the road in 6 or 7, fresh from an away win at in form Fylde, for me everything points to a comfortable away victory.

For what its worth I sincerely hope you guys avoid the drop and sort out your financial predicaments.

We're unchanged at Tranmere tonight so sticking with 4-4-2 away again.

Unchanged side never in doubt. Hope someone covers the space between midfield and defence better than Saturday or Jennings and Norburn are going to have shooting practice from the edge of the box; Aldershot seemed reluctant to shoot from range despite decent positions on Sat.

Tranmere on top so far, as expected. Cook with Tranmere's latest 1 on 1 miss, then has a goal disallowed for offside. Could be a long night....

Tranmere all over us, should've been out of sight. Feels like it's a cup tie and they're 2 leagues above us. All we've done (except for the build up to the goal) is go long to Blissett and it sails past/bounces off him. Tranmere just too fast for us all over the pitch and every ball forward is sticking.

But to be fair Danny Whitaker was bound to score on his 7000th appearance for Macclesfield Town.

Tranmere been the better side, we've been poor going forwards - struggling to keep the ball again. But couldn't give a flying fuck.

Tranmere will have to open up even more now so hopefully more chances on the break.
