10 games in and 4 points seperate 1st from 14th. Don't think I've ever seen a division this tight.

This from the Leyton Orient Forum tonight.

'Halifax are nothing special at all, how they've kept clean sheets until now is beyond me as we've opened them up with ease only to contrive to miss in ways only FIFA knows how'

8 consecutive away games in the league without conceding :gr:

He's not far off to be fair. Although of you're going to be as poor as Orient are at the back then you've got to take your chances. They didn't -we did.

Didn't go tonight (correct choice by the sounds of things), but I'm kind of glad we've finally lost.

We seemed to fear the run towards the end, and didn't really do anything special to win games while doing everything not to lose. This should serve as the kick up the arse we need, although by the same token it could start a run of losses. I guess we'll find out on Saturday. There's no pressure now. Just go out and play your game, the results will come.

If you fancy a good laugh, check out the National League banter page on Facebook. The Orient fans on there don't take losing at all well...

We just weren't on it tonight. Starting to get a little bit like last season where we're missing some key players. Cheek and Doe being the main ones. But still, probably our worst display of the season. We still nearly won it but it came as no surprise to me when Sutton won it. They worked their absolute bollocks off.

Brilliant result for us tonight, expected a point maximum but we've come away with 3 in what sounded like a solid away performance.
The league is crazy this year, we've been pretty average and had some shocking results yet find ourselves 3rd! Surely this league is there for the taking? Never seen anything like this before.
Oh, and finally, who else is looking forward to ChrisFGR being back on this forum next May?

As soon as I saw the rain bucketing down, 0-0 was the only result on the cards. Guiseley were well organised but not particularly impressive, while we couldn't get that final ball just right.
Played some good football considering the conditions, and we've got some players proving to be excellent signings - just our forwards can't get it together.

Some positive signs, but mostly just a frustrating night and we'll need to get some new additions if we're to avoid a lower mid-table non-event of a season.

3rd in the league, 2 points off top despite half our squad being out injured. Project damage limitation is going well!

Orient trying to put together a miss of the season compilation.

I have never seen a game like this in my life.

I'd be absolutely livid as an Orient fan
It could've been 6-4 to you! It was a good first half for the neutral, we should've scored at least one no doubt you was lucky, but you was the better team.

We created chances, but we were a shambles at the back, our first two centre halfs were out injured, so Jamie Sendles-White started his first game for over a year and Michael Clark our youngster played his first game of the season and they couldn't handle Denton, Morgan and your number 7. Coulson and Elokobi would've been harder opponents for Denton to come up against in the air and to be honest missing one was bad enough, but missing both - it killed us.

Got to give Halifax credit though, as a team they were excellent in the main I thought apart from a shakey 20mins in the first half when we went on top and should've scored. We managed to carve open a few openings with our quality and should've scored, but weren't good enough as unit at the back.

There were times when we were again far, far too open as a team at the back and Halifax should've scored more themselves. Can easily see now why Davis had such a poor end to his reign at Crewe, not disciplined or good enough tactically to find a good balance. We'll see a few mor eof these defeats no doubt as the season goes on.

I wouldn't read that, full of too many patronising old men. But you was lucky to still keep your record tonight though ;)

You could not be playing us at a better time. We are an absolute shambles, at an all time low.

Not a bad time for you to play us either in all fairness. Draw anyone? :ds:

For sale: One Tranmere Rovers season ticket. Covered in tears and teeth marks, but it still scans ok.

£100.

I can pay you by bank transfer, cash, sexual favours... whatever. Just take it off me please.

You'll still win this league, it's absolutely dreadful and you can afford to lose 10 games before you even get started.

You've not seen us play. There is no way we are winning this league.

Poor end???? It was pretty much the last 75% of his time in charge...

Bromley to win comfortably. Brett Williams to bag a couple of course.

I even thought about saying a hat-trick but thought that'd be too far.

I'm done with this club while we're under this ownership.

Fair enough, looking back on it we were excellent. But when the free header goes wide and the 6 yard strike gets skyed in the first 20 mins, it just felt like our day.

I still think if you'd have got 1 you'd have got a hatful.

Excellent evening out at a friendly club none the less.

How long before Alan Alger uses the tightness of the league to claim "the division is at its worst level ever" for the 15th season in a row?
