Haha, that referee in the Wrexham game yesterday really did lose the plot didn't he? And that linesman for Orient v Tranmere... got to be one of the worst decisions I think I have ever seen

Wrexham try cheating by playing with an extra man and blame the ref. Lol.

I think Rutherford knew what he was doing or trying to do, I'm not sure anyone else was on the same page though. It was like nobody was paying any attention to anything. I like the way there was no mention on the BT highlights of the Halifax goal being 2 yards offside though.

Also ridiculous was the Gateshead v Fylde game, the summariser saying that Wes York "failed to trouble Jay Lynch", as York hit a shot destined for the bottom corner which was then stopped by said keeper in one of the saves of the season.

God it's tinpot that show, can't believe I used to think it was alright.

Yeah I noticed that. Lynch has been an incredible signing for us, had one bad game against tranmere. Best keeper we’ve had, I’m amazed Salford let him go

The same thing happened to us years ago when Clint Hill was sent off (surprisingly) in an FA Cup tie v Sunderland, the difference being that his 'replacement' Steven Frail actually played the remainder of the game. We won 1-0 and there was some talk of the result being overturned, which fortunately never happened. I am not sure Rob Harris's reputation survived intact though.

He didn't play the remainder of the game, the ref realised about a minute after and took Frail off, but not before Frail had headed clear from a Sunderland attack. The 4th official was heavily at fault for that one!

Yes, you are right, although I think it was close to ninety minutes when he came on. Harris was suspended for a couple of months, rightly or wrongly.

I remember standing in the Kop, holding my head in my hands wondering how they'd punish us - I thought we were going to get booted out. I think the whole ground realised what had happened except the ref! It was eerily similar to this Wrexham one.

I remember Andy Gray led a virtual campaign on Sky trying to force a replay of the game, purely because he was a mate of Peter Reid. I always hated Gray after that !

That's because it wasn't 2 yards offside, it was a foot at best. I seem to remember we had a goal ruled out, at Wrexham, on very dubious grounds when we drew 0-0 3 or 4 years ago in any case, so it all balances out.

Bignot didn't seem that bad an appointment at the time, given what he'd done at Solihull, though not a quick fix kind of manager. Who were you wanting to come in?
Graham Barrow would have been a popular appointment, but it would appear that Mark Maguire wanted Bignot. MM has gone now although I'm not sure if we're still paying his £1k+ per week.

Didn’t think it was a terrible game yesterday. Shit ref though. Disgrace of a red card decision.

We should be safe now and now aim to be the first club in the ‘season over’ category.

That seems to be the opinion of Chester fans on Deva Chat2 also.

It certainly is. The commentator said that an anonymous donor was paying the players wages to the end of the season, which is complete bollocks.

I've been on flop since Saturday. What a disappointment that was.

Its so turned since then, davies was at fault for your first 3goals at your place , goes off, returns at orient and is at fault for the goal there too.... 4 in a row

I’d disagree that Davies was at fault for the Orient goal. Skidding cross into the box, maybe the defence should have done better cutting out them, makes a point blank save and is a bit unlucky with the follow up shot.

Having seen the highlights.. how haven’t we scored a few there? Some criminal misses.

He looked shaky and he’s lost his place now that Davies is back fit. Doesn’t look great for him.

Yes, I agree. I thought Davies had a good game on Saturday. He commands the box much better than Taylor.

Our best performance in a long while, and one of our most impressive this season. Sutton were quite poor, aside from the last 15 mins or so - they caught us on the break, just after we'd wasted a good chance of our own. Jones hit the bar for us too, and we had three or four good chances to add a second.

Gomis played like a man possessed against his old club, and what a signing Luke James looks - like a non-league Craig Bellamy! No doubt he'll turn crap, but he was excellent tonight.

Well, that's Guisly gone. What a waste of money that was. :bdick::£:£:£:£
For once I agree with you 100%. A total shambles, we were actually better with the part time players. Don't get me started on the tactics
