I still maintain that they put the whole rebuild process back a year by sacking DM so soon. I mean, it's not like they're doing any better this season is it?
God that's garbage. United are on the verge of making it back to the CL. This time last season, United were nowhere near it. Not sure how they will cope with the added game of European football but that is the aim year after year and if you don't deliver, you get sacked. It's how things go at big clubs. More than results, van Gaal has the ego to deal with strong personality players which Moyes clearly lacks.

Moyes got United to a Champions League QF and pushed Bayern a long way in that game too. Compared to LVG who went out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford and the League Cup 4-0 to MK Dons!

Barely better in the league, more reliant on the other teams failings than their own successes. All whilst spending £150m and having the most expensive squad in English football.

Only post I'll have on the matter, discussions been done to death.

The transfer kitty excuse sounds to me like a cop-out tbh. United needed world-class players because Moyes had to deal with the likes of Tom fucking Cleverley! Not saying he bought particularly wisely (or sold for that matter, still don't get why they let Welbeck go for Falcao) but strong players were needed to get the results and, for the time being, it's working. Have you seen United's home league record? It's almost as good as Chelsea's!
Mustn't be too arsed about the Cups. Losing to MK Dons must have been bad but I don't think LVG is distraught today having bee knocked out of the FA Cup.

Nowhere near it because they had to cope with the added game of European football, perhaps? Anyway, I don't want to go back over all this again, bored to tears with it ha.

Lets go back to the german thread :woot:

I quite like Claude. Much more than Ty anyway. Can't really stand his headphones and water bottle bollocks. Must be a boring person to talk to in a pub.

Me too, he's a proper old school supporter who lives and breathes his club; whenever they have a poor showing it looks like the weight of the world is on him!
