You won't find many priasing our owners. The fans have been protesting outside games, stormed the pitch on Boxing Day and got the game stopped - those feelings won't go away. The manager is a small part of the issues at CFC, we could get Pep and it wouldn't change much because we a re a basket case. Even if someone is chucking some money around it's stupid, and we never learn, even is Shez is a abit of a coup

We aren't paying Allen, as it was mutual, but we are still paying Gary Caldwell, and only recently stopped paying off Dean Saunders. If he's resigned we won't pay Carlisle anything.

We lost over £1m LY so 20k a week is about right.

I have 3 thoughts, some synical, some hopeful.

Scary contract length and wages though being touted, why do we never learn? We could feasibly be sacking him in 9 months ( as we have everyone else since Cook) as a Conference North team. It would cripple us.

1 - Either DA has decided to chuck some money into it, 2 - or any proposed takeover has agreed to those kind of figures OR 3 - DA thinks the club is being sold soon and so has offered him loads knowing he won't be paying for it. Cynical but nothing would suprise me

Why would he chuck money at you now you're in such a state - had he backed you when Cook went and you lost in the play-offs in league 1, well I'm sure you don't need me to finish it for you.

If he once wanted £10m for your club it makes little sense to make the product on offer as undesirable as possible and sell for a fraction of that - from a business perspective it's disastrous.

That clubs and fans continue to be held ransom by egotistical idiots is unacceptable

I've no idea, because he will have to chuck a lot more at the side to sort it out because we are toss.

My only thinking is that he has realised the club is unsalable in its current form so if he wants some money back we need to stay up, OR we're being taken over and the fans consortium have made progress and been consulted to give funds for this. Either way, we are playing with fire again.

It's a good appointment don't get me wrong, but it's just crazy money and assuming Shez gets rid of all the retards we've got turning out for us selling Juice Plus on the side then it will get even more costly, which we definitely can't afford on gates of 4-5k free falling into regional football.

Do you still get those gates? over on Stagsnet we're curious as to whether the gates of 4,500 or so are actually true? your stands look basically empty in the videos of your games (not having a go) just wondered if you were announcing ST's but not the actual attendance like Man U

We'll have to see. I mean it's obviously not as straightforward as that or else nobody would ever have to pay compensation to anyone, simply get the manager you want to resign before appointing him. There have been plenty of occasions where a manager has resigned one job to take up another and his new employers paying compensation to his old ones.

Maybe your chairman would have a word with Radford tomorrow (if he goes) or a member of our board over what happened with Evans

God knows our actual crowds - no idea why we would artificially inflate attendances, knowing our lot you could think of reasons why they would do the opposite.

We do count ST holders who don't attend in the crowd as the electronic system looks at tickets sold rather than tickets scanned apparently, but apparently a lot clubs do the same - Bradford, most Prem/Champ clubs etc definitely do. I don't go to home games often anymore due to Allen but went on Boxing Day and there crowd was 4800 with fuck all away fans and thought that looked about right.

There is often games where there is 500 ST holders not turning up, and over 1000 for a midweek game in October I think it was - which when we have about 3000 ST holders is scary.

Nothing would suprise me with our lot. He'll end up at Oldham now anyway or something

Like Man U? Don't pretty much every club include season ticket holders in their attendance?

I think they do. Some of our fans have a real been in their bonnet about it, but if a tickets sold they who cares. Even Dagenham do it, as i'm sure many others do. Fylde include loads of free tickets given to school kids in theres, even if they don't attend, now that is sneaky.

The bookies have installed Gary Bowyer as an early favourite. Only because he's available and managed at this level fairly recently, would be a huge boost though. Sadly, two names that haunted us all summer, Russel Slade and Lee Clark have also reared their heads again.

The list of available managers is a little better at least than it was in the summer, and our position in the league may tempt a few who wouldn't have considered us when we looked in for a relegation scrap. We can't offer any funds though, not unless EWM put their hands in their pockets, sensing a chance to increase the value of their investment.
Be afraid, be very afraid:ohm:

No chance Sheridan would come back here while AL is still here. Let's just say they didn't part on the best of terms

We don't.

I find it dishonest to do so, we don’t and I’m pleased we don’t. Why advertise someone that’s not there? It’s ridiculous

We don’t either. In 2008 we had the situation where our season ticket sales were higher than our average attendance! (We did a target 5000 and sold 6500 for £200 or something)

I heard that Mark Yates is going to be our next manager.

Is he any good Macclesfield fans?

He seems to know this league well.
Mark Yates is a brilliant manager and terribly unlucky to lose his job here especially considering the high standard of player he signed in the summer. I'd snap him up now if I were you.

I guess it depends how your system works. If it calculates on tickets sold rather than tickets scanned, you've no idea how many of those ticket holders turned up.

Besides I can't find a single situation where over-reporting a crowd would be a good thing - the opposite is true, and it's something clubs have often got in trouble for.

Exactly, thankfully we’ve got a system sophisticated enough to tell exactly how many people came in, can’t imagine it being particularly challenging to do.

It’s why When we were in the conference (shudders) we had a season ticket deal like port vale where our crowds were less than the STs we’d sold.

Don’t really there’s a right or wrong way to do it, just seems odd a club would suggest someone was there when they weren’t
