Cant forsee any problems here. I am sure Warren Joyce did not foresee such a shift return to Old Trafford.

Will we need to approach the game with a much more professional attitude than that against Hull however.

3-0.

Can't see Utd being too disadvantaged if changes are made (which seems to be all the rage). Took them to score at least 3.

I'm happy with that side - good to see Schweinsteiger, Shaw and Fosu-Mensah getting starts.

We are putting on a bit of a tribute to the football we played under Van Gaal at the moment; slow, sideways and something else beginning with s.

There we go, we've been overplaying it a little - a simple cross onto Fellaini's head does the trick.

The goal adds a bit of an unwarranted shine to what was a shite half from us. Will take it, of course.

I think both the fullbacks need to have a bit more composure when attacking and crossing. Not impressed by Martial....thought he'd be more involved. Seems awfy lazy to me.

Shaw is all pace - he can knock the ball on and get past his man pretty easily but then he will just hit it and hope. Fosu-Mensah is a bit better in that respect and should be streets ahead of Shaw by the time he reaches his age.

Martial has been poor, yeah. Perhaps he can hear Keown slagging him off every chance he gets!

Thought it was a cracking goal at first, great delivery. But the replay shows Fellaini deliberately throw his elbow into Connelly's head to stop him getting in front, clear foul. Smalling fouled Burn in the box 5 mins earlier too which wasn't given. Referees definitely a homer. Fellaini should have been booked early on for a cynical foul.

Second and especially the third goals were excellently worked. Second goal knocked the stuffing out of us and the last 20 minutes. Ran out of steam at the end, United were clinical 5 chances and 4 goals. We had 4 decent chances, two very good ones and missed them, having more shots on target means nothing if you don't take any.

A lot of positives to take from the performance on a whole and certainly wasn't a 4-0 match. Hopefully the players confidence doesn't take too much of a knock and we continue to perform in the league like we have done recently.

Schweinsteiger was Uniteds best player today total class, one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League his omission has been baffling, clearly more to the story.
