First time I've watched Utd this season. Still dull as hell I see.

Everton are far too slow to be a threat on the counter, and are defending far too deep to be able to do any damage to Man Utd. Playing Rooney as a lone forward in these conditions is really highlighting his flaws. I was recently reminded of when England tried and failed to reinvent him as Andrea Pirlo, looks even more stupid now.

If Everton can get a bit more support up the pitch, and maybe move their back line a few metres higher, they might be able to get back in this.

Everton probably need to get someone like Mirallas on for one of their centre backs.

A bit more composure in the final 3rd and we'd have finished this game already.

Will Utd name a stand after Rooney since he's their all time greatest legend?

Man Utd love a flurry in the last few minutes. 4-0, Everton look quite poor on this showing.

Not a very good 2nd half performance but we got the job done. If we brought Martial on earlier I reckon we'd have closed the game earlier, but tbf to Lingard he did have a clear penalty turned down.

He's been very good for them today, put a stop to almost every Everton attack.
I thought he was Everton's best player. Should've scored (although de Gea is in great form) but made more things happen for them than any other player. I was surprised how quiet Sigurdsson was, he normally plays very well at OT.

Never mind top four, the way Everton are going they'll be closer to the drop. :D
