Just like in 2012 we'll go down with alot of unspent money. Then we'll suddenly not be able to pay the bills next season

Wonder if Amar will blame Blower like he did with Rance.

I was wondering about that yeaterday, as I thought you had some financial problems last year? Either players not being paid or fear of players not being paid? But now you say there is a lot of unspent money? Is that just from the money the league gives you? Hopefully you get a decent amount from your tie with West Ham.

The club were late paying their wages and understandably they went public with it to force some action. Similar stories came out about off field staff not being paid on time either, which led to a succession of departures throughout last season, very few of whom have been replaced. On the playing side of things we've got a bit of money but seemingly not enough to keep a lot of last season's squad or sign any decent new players.

Be better, just a little bit please

The GTFCfish LCFC match thread streak continues.... when will it end? :dk:
I will promise to never post on a Lincoln match thread ever again if you will promise to never post on this forum ever again.

Sound fair?

I’m guessing negotiations aren’t part of your day to day job!

How about no, but to help you with your forum illness and in an attempt to end the longest streak on here. I’m prepared to negotiate. You know, help a brother out

How’s Akinde doing? I expect you’re all enjoying how much he terrifies the opposition centre backs.

We have 3 of our first choice strikers out so you know, we’ll have him back on a loan/forever and ever and ever if you don’t need him.

"Apparently" John Askey and a few other players who won the league haven't been paid their bonuses from last season and Askey's case is currently with the LMA. (May not be true)

First time I've seen him play and he was great. The lower League Lukaku, absolute beast.

If you listen to the uneducated Lincoln fans, they'll have you believe he's lazy, uninterested, can't win headers and would prefer Rhead up top.

Those who understand football will tell you that he's a beast. Yes, he doesn't win every header, but he's being compared to Rhead in that respect who wins everything. Yes, he doesn't run the channels as well as Matt Green, but that's not the way we're playing this season.

He plays the width of the 18 yard box, as all good striker do. Play it into his feet or chest and he'll hold the ball up, particularly when into his feet because he pins defenders. He'll pick and choose his times to challenge for headers and won't chase lost causes, as you'd expect because let's face it he's bloody huge. He'd not be able to run around like a mad man for 90 minutes, although he's deceptively quick/fast. He can't half shift for someone his size.

The irony being that after the Crawley game he was being slagged off by some, despite arguably being our best player when we went down to ten men. Kept 3 CB's occupied for 30 minutes despite being isolated allowing us to get up the pitch and across the 90 minutes, managed to create our two best chances by winning headers (and our first at Macclesfield from a knock down)...

They'll be an improvement once we start getting better service into him.

Akinde started off slowly and clearly wasn't fit, being behind the others in terms of pre season catch up. He has gradually got better and better over the last few games and now resembles more of a threat he was brought in for. Has scored 5 (not all penalties ).

As Luke says, some Imps fans can't help themselves by constantly having digs at his performances, but to me he has done well enough coming into a new club.

The worry for league two defenders this season is there is still a lot more to come.

Great summing up there Luke as ever.
Can't believe some the abuse he got during and after the Crawley, yes he missed a sitter, tell me striker he doesn't? All our best chances in that game involved him.
I get some our 'fans' are expecting to him to be a mixture of Salah, Kane, Messi, Ronaldo and Hazard just cos he's our record signing and if doesn't get a hat trick every week he gets dogs abuse. It's a bit pathetic really.
Slow start but he clearly wasn't fit but for me he's really starting to show his worth.
The other player to watch out for is Bruno Andrade, absolute menace of a winger.

I miss him. :(

Your summaries are spot on. He won’t challenge for what he won’t win, but he will scare defenders so easily. It’s hilarious watching how people just bounce off him when they try to contest.

His speed is also something that opposition teams never seem to get used to. He is rapid. Watch next time how he’s normally racing into a ball before a defender has even turned to chase it themselves.

He may never reach the heights he did for us in or Conference season, but with the Cowleys using him correctly you have a huge asset there.

(But can we please have him back because we don’t actually have strikers at the moment, thanks)

Get promoted this season and he's undoubtedly our best ever manager. Probably already is, but I guess you could still make a case for Graham Taylor.

That's shocking if true.
No one has any idea what is true and false. So many people on the Facebook group coming on everyday saying they're "in the know" and have spoken to a player, or can't say who their source is. 99% of it is just bullshit, but no one knows which 1% to pay any attention to.

I'm just at the point of apathy now. We really need something to spark an get everyone pulling in the same direction again. Huge game at Morecambe on Saturday.
