Quality should prove that Luton’s caviar style should be enough to overcome Grimsby’s wholesome fish pie football ....
Another win in this fishy food matchup to the hatters....

I think our best hope is that an outbreak of diarrhoea breaks out in Lutons team hotel (if they have one for home games) and you have to play your youth team.

My other hope for this game is that if Danny Hylton scores against us then he doesn't celebrate as that would be disrespectful as fuck........ :animatedf: :P1:

I'm sure if he does Urban will be along to let us know if the celebration was warrented or not.

Looking forward to this. Real oppurtunity to push on and starting pulling away from the play off places. It's also our last home game before a few tough away ones so could do with the points on the board. Should be a great crowd with most people in Christmas mode (mildly intoxicated). Grimsby tend to travel pretty well down here, certainly better than we do up to Cleethorpes so should make for a decent atmosphere.

Grimsby look a solid side with a sprinkling of decent players in. Going for a tough 2-1 win with Hylton scoring a 103rd minute winner before doing a lap of the ground and diving naked into the away support.

If we don’t get a point then I just hope Hylton gets a couple for my top scorer acca.

Someone hasn't been paying attention to Kenny telling everyone how great Luton's youth setup is! You'd be in real trouble if we unleashed out 15 year olds on you.

Will be listening to this with my son and his Luton Town season ticket holder girlfriend at our daughters place in California, 07:00 kick off for us. Boxing Day game is 05:00 so might miss Mansfield's defeat.

Anyway, hoping for at least a point on Saturday with Luton having a rare off day.

We have 400 tickets remaining, but as I don't know how many we were given I don't know if that's good or not.

Max allocation is something like 1,050. Not sure what the stages are that we offer it out in, we do shrink the allocation sometimes if the demand isn't there to give more of the end to home fans but think we usually leave that until late in the day after seeing how away sales have gone (e.g. against Notts County we put an extra 150 tickets on sale to home fans a day before the game when it became clear Notts weren't going to sell out).

Must be a reduced allocation then as no way in a billion years would we have sold 650 already, I reckon 400 - 450 max will be there.

This Facebook post yesterday from Lisa who works in the ticket office.

Luton Town away on Saturday is ALL TICKET we have sold 330 tickets and have 400 left. Any postals need to be booked by 12.00 noon on Thursday, by next day delivery. Our allocation has been taken down from 1032 to 762, as Luton are selling out the seats in the stand which houses both fans. Hope this clear up any confusion regarding tickets sold. UTM x

Haven't heard anything from our end that we normally do when they're expecting a big crowd/near sell out so I'm surprised they've reduced the Grimsby allocation already. Wouldn't have thought we'd be expecting a particularly big crowd with it being the last Saturday before Christmas and plenty of games to come in the next few weeks.

Might just be that there is more demand in the Oak Road than in other areas of the ground, it's cheaper, unreserved seating and a better atmosphere than most parts of the ground.

A full oak road end...in the old days...was a sight to behold and an unbelievable atmosphere....
Changing to standing in the maple,1st one side then the other, depending which side we attacked, certainly antagonised the away fans in the kenny end,but wasn’t the same...

Course you won't be Lance, you'll be too busy at the hospital with whichever one of your make-believe friends has had his jaw broken this week.

Grimsby are shite

Hartlepool 8 Grimsby 1
Grimsby 1 Hayes and Yeading 2
Braintree 5 Grimsby 0
Grimsby 0 Bath 2

Grimsby are that bad their moronic fans couldn't take getting relegated at Burton

Dirty, scruffy, town. Luton are your Southern equivalent. Still crowing on about how they got into so much debt with that disgusting over bloated squad they had. Not many do. Watford have overtaken you on and off the pitch. Plus you have Tommy Robinson besmirching your already asinine reputation. Nah, its clubs like Accrington, Morecambe,Barnet, Newport, and Forest Green Rovers I admire in this cesspit of a division. For the record, I hope Grimsby win

Is there any point in us playing the game if this random Scunthorpe fan isn't going. The two clubs should surely get together and call it off, give the fans more time to do Christmas shopping.

Grimsby have upped their game of late and might prove a tougher test than expected. I'm sure their recent run has given them a lot of confidence. As usual an early goal could determine the outcome of this game. If we get it I think we'll go on to get a couple more but if Grimsby do it could be a tight game. Other than Justin coming in I expect the same line up again. I'm sure the crowd will be up for this one. Tickets selling well and should get in 9k+. Could be an important couple of weeks both on and off the pitch.

We now seemed to have picked another Tosser to go with than Lincoln one, let's not feed them.

We have sold around 600 tickets of the 1000 odd we were given. Should be a good atmosphere.

I don't think we have, I read earlier we were given a reduced allocation of 750 which with 400ish left sounds about right.
The guy here thinking we will sell the lot needs to give his head a wobble I think.

As we've stated on this site before the all ticket arrangements for away fans was a decision enforced on the club due to the fact we wanted home fans to share the stand. Gimsby have an excellent away support but the timing of this fixture, your league position and the fact we've played eachother a lot recently means you are unlikely to bring a full allocation hence the lower figure. Like you said most Grimsby fans would undertand this. Strange quote about the stand from your fellow supporter. The only nets are the ones on the pitch unless they mean the segregtion?! Its a great stand for singing and you get a decent view of the game. Not great for sitting in but most fans like to stand. Should be a decent atmopshere on Saturday. Grimsby fans always make a decent noise.
