So, defences were on top tonight as we beat Reading U21s 7-5 in the Mickey Mouse Trophy having led 4-1 at halftime, can anyone beat that for a sheer goalfest inside 90 minutes?

Closest I can remember is our 7-4 defeat at Accrington a few years back, that was a long trip home

If we are going to include pointless kickabouts in that awful trophy then I might as well chuck in my own last game of 11-a-side which ended in a 12-2 victory

Just read that we lost, which obviously means we qualify for the next round. How the fuck do you get knocked out of this tournament before Wembley please?

5-4 v Gillingham. Akinfenwa, Bishop and Lowe all got two goals. I think Sodje got the other.

For reasons I can't actually remember, I went to Barnet's first ever league game against Crewe. Finished 4-7.

I was at that game, damn near killed me.

Celebrated so hard when we pulled it back to 3-3 in the space of a minute from 3-1 down, only for you lot to instantly make it 4-3. We then made it 4-4 in pretty short order but I was too fucked from our third goal to do more than clap weakly. And we still managed to fuck it up.

6-6 against Newcastle was the silliest I can remember. We won 3-2 on penalties after all that.

Beating the New Zealand national team 7-0 was a bit more one sided, but deserves a mention because of the club vs country oddity.

Didn't you lose a game by a similar scoreline in 1983? I think Kerry Dixon got 4 goals and ended up on the losing side.
May have been Doncaster Rovers

Losing 6-4 to Villa away in the second leg of the League Cup semi-finals back in 2009/2010 immediately springs to mind. If Samba hadn't got sent off and given away a penalty I'm sure that we would have made it to the final that year. What could have been. Going back, I remember us smashing the likes of Norwich 7-1, Sheffield Wednesday 7-2 and West Ham 7-1; with the latter having 7 different goalscorers if I remember correctly.

Stupid game that one. Remember Cronin made a total cock up for at least one of them. That was about a month apart from our 7-4 reverse at Accrington as well, which was a pathetic game of football. Think we had a couple of 4-3 defeats that year too!

The other one that sticks out is the 5-4 win over Hereford about 7 years ago, coming from 4-2 down with 9 minutes left to win it.

I think one of the most ludicrous scores not involving us that I remember was something like Burton 5-6 Cheltenham?

Quite one sided but we lost 6-0 to Norwich. Grant Holt got a hat-trick, got subbed. Simeon Jackson came on, scored a hat-trick. Can’t imagine that’s happened much.

Grimsby beat Burnley 6-5 in the Championship in 2002.

Since then we have gone from strength to strength whilst Burnley I think are now languishing somewhere down in the shit leagues.

Remember Arsenal beating you in the League Cup as it took all the headlines away from us beating Wigan who were in the Prem at the time. Luckily we drew Arsenal ourselves in the next round and beat them.

We beat Accrington 8-2 once.
We were also 4-0 down to Cardiff at half time and drew 4-4.
We went 1-0 down to Ipswich in the championship, I thought here we go again, another loss and we won 7-1.

Arbroath versus Bon Accord in 1885: 36-0. I am sure on the same day someone won 35-0.

Us beating Arsenal 4-3 with Steve Kean in charge in 11/12 was pretty mental.

Obviously it's not on a par with others mentioned in this thread but the fact that clown was in charge is worth something [emoji38]

Beating my national team 7-0 is not that great, other than Winston Reid at the back and Chris Wood up front, most of them would struggle to make it in to National League South or North, wait till Saturday and see what Peru do to them in the World cup play off.
